Passes

Passes can be issued by the Administrator as well as specific appointed members only. Please send mail to the Administrator if you wish to obtain such a pass. Please specify your name, your caste, the length of your stay and any slaves that may be traveling with you. Passes may be issued for any length of time. Visitors may stay as long as they like with a pass provided they follow the city laws. Visitors must have a pass or be a citizen to carry steel in the walls of the city proper or any of it's garrisons. No exceptions.

Weapons

Carrying steel by a free man without a pass or citizenship:

First offense - One passing of hard labor in the mines or tarn cots.

Second offense - Death

Carrying steel by a free woman without a pass or citizenship:

First offense - One hand in the warrior caste's punishment rack.

Second offense - Collar or death at the Administrator's discretion.

All such punishments must be authorized by the Administrator before they are carried out. Exceptions may be made at the Administrator's sole discretion. These will usually be limited to diplomatic representatives of friendly cities.

Note: This law applies only to the bearing of arms. If arms are brandished, then the code of the warriors does apply and an assault on a citizen of the city will be dealt with according to Gorean law.
