Collars
Female slaves are required to wear collars at all times or may find themselves collared as a runaway or lost/abandoned property by the city. They then fall under the city's En'Slaver's property rules and ownership of said property will then be decided by the Administrator.
Positions Around Free Women
If your Master/Mistress wishes you to nadu regardless of the free women, if he is not present, remember you may find a free women with a switch, whip or boot and you may find it against your backside. Your owner may take it up with her later but again that will be her problem and his option.
Discipline
Slaves are at the discipline of any free person they displease and your Master/Mistress may discuss it with them later. If your Master/Mistress thinks the behavior of the free person warrants a problem then he may take the evidence to the Administrator and seek his decision.
Attire
The dress of independently owned slaves is at their Master/Mistress' choice. City property however, will dress accordingly. Silks in warm weather and kirtle in colder winter months. The length of slave garb shall be mid to high thigh area. Slaves belonging to free women will be allowed to be slightly longer but not cover the ankles. Male slaves did not always have collars. They mainly had bracelets or armbands denoting their slavery.
Silk Colors
City slaves - Will wear the city colors of blue, green and black.
Tavern or paga den slave - Wear yellow silks.
Red with red trim - Reserved slave.
White silks - Unopened and should be treated as reserved or in training.
Yellow trim or yellow silk - Will be considered by the city to be unreserved in all ways.
Conduct
Slaves of and in Piedmont are subject to their Masters/Mistress' behavior policy first and foremost. If a white silk however, is found to be lapping, serving or otherwise acting in such a manner to make men wish her use and she has wandered about without an escort or guardian, said white silk may end up opened and her owner simply financially compensated.
Any reserved or white silk slave should be belted in public and supervised or her use may be taken and owner simply compensated for said use. Any belted slave found wandering about may be taken to her owners house and chained to the gates.
Male slaves shall be adorned in pants of leather, and collar or sign of enslavement is required. They should be covered from knee to shoulders and nipples covered. Any male slave in loin cloth or naked can be killed by any free male who sees it as insulting unless the slave is in the pits fighting, or escorted by it's owner. If the male slave is owned by a woman and the slave behaves disrespectfully without reprimand from the owner, she may find herself in a collar worthy position.
Unescorted male slaves must be cuffed and/or hobbled. Failure to do so could result in the uncompensated destruction of the property. City guardsmen will assume uncuffed, unhobbled and unescorted male slaves, runaway and treat them as such.
Weapons
Unescorted and armed male slaves will be summarily slain. Arming a slave except for pit is a collarable offense unless one is of the city's warriors caste.
Male Slave City Defense
Any male slave may be drawn for the cities defense with no compensation to the owner in the event of a declared emergency. At the end of the emergency, compensation can then be petitioned for from the Administrator. Slaves fighting in the cities defense will be manumitted by order of the Administrator. Male slaves should know how to use weaponry depending on their Master/Mistress.
Spars and/or Fighting
All slaves have no dice however, for cases of spars, they are allowed 2d20. Trained pit fighters, who are allowed use of 2d21.
