Registration

All ships should be registered with the RoSoG to be allowed docking in Piedmont. The ships must file with the City Scribe or the Harbor Master upon docking. If the ship is registered with the RoSoG, registration numbers should be provided with the papers filed.

Docks

The Piedmont docks are concealed within caves and not readily accessible unless one knows how to find them. Ships are limited in docking times and departure times by the tides at the mouth of the caves. Tarn cots with sky access and guard garrisons are located throughout the docking caverns but hardly visible from the sky or land unless one steps right upon it.

Permit Fees

Permits to dock in Piedmont Ports are at the price of 10 silver tarsks for one hand. Docking fees are 2 silver tarsks, per ship, per day at public docks. Also one may hire out from the city 5 guards at the price of 2 gold tarsks a day to guard the ship at the public docks.

Permits

Piedmont is not a free port. Outlaws and others will be dealt with at the Administrator or the Harbor Master's discretion if docking in Piedmont docks. Those entering the city by way of the docks are subject to much more intense scrutiny than those entering through the gates of the city. Being allowed docking in Piedmont is separate from being granted entry into the city. In general, ships would be required to phase shore leave for the sailors so as to minimize the number of non-citizens wandering the city at any one time.
