These are matches which may or may not involve weapons, relating to the inability to settle a dispute. All matches must be proctored by a city certified proctor and logged, turned into city scribe, and have no less that 2 witnesses total for the event No one is to speak within a room during one of these matches, except for the proc and the two combatants. The proc may say nothing other than that which is necessary regarding the match. Any other interference will cause the match to be declared null and void. Only one of these matches is to the death. The rules of all matches are listed as follows:
Capture/Collar Match
Should a free woman warrant it or a wandering unowned slave be found, any fight over the female shall be between a slaver and a champion of the one wanted in collar. She may not be from the homestone or, if she is, the Administrator must declare her collarable by her actions. Only the Administrator can decide if a citizen is to be collared. This is to decide who actually gets the slave, not a Release Match. There are no Release Matches in Piedmont. The fight is to 20, using caste dice, weapons are not used.
Honor Match
To be fought when one's honor is challenged. The one who challenged the other's honor must fight he who was insulted. Caste dice to 20, weapons generally not used. The loser must publicly apologize, or honor the terms stated upon beginning of the match.
Death Match
There is little need of this match, and we expect not to see many of these. A Death Match is often used for defense of one's homestone, but not for an insult. These are to 20, weapons used, caste dice. The loser is required to delete the SN within 24 hours of the combat. Logs of such should be submitted to the Administrator and the City Scribe immediately upon the completion of such a match.
