The Administrator working with the merchant caste, has declared the currency of Piedmont to be as follows:

Large Denomination Currency

Administrator's Tarn Disk of Piedmont - The tarn disk of Piedmont is 1 and 1/4 the weight of an average gold tarn disk. It is composed of a silver core with the seal of the city embossed on one side, the seal of her Administrator embossed on the other. A ridged band of gold placed around the silver composes 1/4 of the weight of the coin. This coin is minted by the city. It shall exchange at the rate of approximately three tarn disks of Piedmont for the gold tarn disk of Koroba.

Merchant's Tarn Disk of Piedmont (commonly known as the silver tarn disk.) - The silver tarn disk is ridged and displays an image of the city scales on one side and the seal of the issuing merchant house on the other. The silver tarn disk of Piedmont is the same weight of the silver tarn of other cities and should exchange one for one for currency of Koroba. The silver tarn disk is minted by the merchant houses of Piedmont, with the exception of occasional commemorative coins minted by the house of the Administrator with the flag of the Administrator's house substituting for the seal of the merchant house. A litte more than three silver tarns is approximately equal in value to one Administrator's Tarn Disk.

Initiate's Tarn Disk Piedmont (commonly known as the copper tarn disk.) - The copper tarn disk of Piedmont is minted by the city for the initates caste using the copper given in tithe to the local temple. This tarn disk contains an image of the temple of Piedmont on one side and an image of the Sardar Mountains on the other. This disk is ridged and its weight is the same as that of the merchant copper tarn disk. Ten copper tarns is equal to one silver tarn. 33 copper tarns is equal to one Administrator's tarn disk.

Small Denomination Currency

Piedmont Tarsks are all sliced on one side into eight equal pieces to allow easy breaking of the coin into tarsk bits for payment of small transactions. Therefore, tarsks are the most common coin minted within Piedmont. Tarsks are exchanged for the equivalent ranked tarn at the rate of 100 tarsk per tarn.

Slaver's Tarsk of Piedmont - The tarsk of Piedmont is 1 and 1/4 the weight of an average gold tarsk. It is composed of a silver core with the seal of the issuing slaver's house embossed on one side, the image of the street of brands or the seal of the minting merchants house embossed on the other. A ridged band of gold placed around the silver composes 1/4 of the weight of the coin. This coin is minted by the merchant houses for the slaver houses. It shall exchange at the rate of approximately three tarsks of Piedmont for the golden tarsk of Koroba.

Artisan Tarsk of Piedmont (commonly known as the silver tarsk.) - The silver tarsk is ridged and displays an image of the caste seal of one of the artisan castes on one side and the seal of minting authority on the other. The silver tark of Piedmont is the same weight of the silver tarsk of other cities and should exchange one for one for currency of Koroba. The silver tarsk is minted by the merchant houses of Piedmont as contracted directly or through a slaver's house or can be contracted directly through the city mint by any of the various artisan castes. A little more than three silver tarsks is approximately equal in value to one Slaver's Tarsk.

Minters Tarsk of Piedmont (commonly known as the copper tarsk.) - The copper tarsk of Piedmont is minted by the city minters caste at either the mint of one of the merchant houses or at the city mint. This tarsk contains an image of the city minters caste hall on one side and an image of the minting location's seal on the other. This tarsk is ridged and its weight is the same as that of the merchant copper tarsk. Ten copper tarsks is equal to one silver tarsk. 33 copper tarsk is equal to one Slaver's Tarsk.
