About Blue Moon Rescues

Blue Moon Rescues is a not for profit rescue that takes in injured, abused, sick, and pet rodents that are no longer wanted. The goal of BMR is to help any and every rodent we can. In the two years of BMR operation we have rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted out to new loving homes over three hundred animals.

Blue Moon Rescues takes in rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, sugar gliders, and chinchillas. BMR will take in everything from babies that have lost their mothers to old rodents that need a place to live in peace. BMR is a small rescue that can handle about thirty rodents at a time. Most of the rodents we take in are sick or orphaned rats. BMR also does a lot of work with chinchillas. BMR main goal for the animal it to get them healthy and happy again and to a new permanent home.

Blue Moon Rescues web site was designed to provide information for a person looking to either purchase or adopt a loving rodent. The site contains care sheets for every rodent BMR deals with.
