Trance is my absolute favorite type of music. 

For those of you who are not familiar with the "Trance" genre, here is a description:

 First of all, TRANCE IS NOT TECHNO!!!!!

Not even close.  Unlike techno, trance always has a melody, and is less repetitive.  Trance is often uplifting and mood-filled music. Techno is almost only just energizing and moving music.  It can be very relaxing, very moving & energized, light, or powerful.  Trance is a relatively general music Genre.  There are actually several many different kinds of trance: Melodic Trance, Hard Trance, Progressive Trance, Acid Trance, Psychedelic Trance and Dream House (a form of house that is very similar to trance.)  Trance is said to have evolved in German Discothèques during the early 90's  from the mixing of techno and house genres.  It has now evolved to what many consider as the most popular form of electronic music.  Here are some good suggestions to get you started if you are interested in listening to trance and finding more about it:
