Alexis' 1st Christmas
Christmas 2002
A little bit before Christmas, we took Alexis to get her pictures done @ the Portrait Studio that way they could sent out with our Christmas cards! She wore her dress that we got especially for her portait session; it was black velvet on the upper half and red and green plaid on the lower part, just adorable as can be! She also went and got her pictures taken with her three cousins: Rebekah, Samantha, & Andrew. The pictures went well, but Lexi slept in a few, just like she did with her first batch of pictures. Then about a week or so before Christmas we took her to see Santa Claus and got her picture with him as well!
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, 2002, Mommy loaded Lexi's diaper bag with everything imaginable while Daddy played with her. We dressed her in a white body suit outfit that said "Little Angel" on it; it was made for Christmas, it had other cute little Chirstmas things on it as well.
We went to visit Aunt Ami, Uncle Karl, Karl, and Veronica. We had Chirstmas dinner and exchanged gifts and took a million pictures! Theresa, Karl's sister, and Gabrielle, her daughter, were there as well! The kids took turns holding Alexis and gauking over her! They were so sweet! Lexi enjoyed her time she got to spend with them!
When we left there, we went to visit with Jeremy's Grandparents, Lauralee and Richard! We exchanged gifts and talked & enjoyed ourselves and then ate!! Yum, Yum!!! Lexi so far, has enough gifts to last her til her Birthday!
Christmas Day
When Alexis woke up in the morning & Daddy too, we went into the living room and wouldn't you know...Santa Claus had paid Lexi a visit!!! She got all kinds of stuff: toys, clothes, diapers, ect. We tried to help her play with some of it and then it got about that time to get ready for dinner @ Mawmaws!
The whole family went to Jeremy's other Grandmothers house, Mary's, and we all ate and took pictures and exchanged gifts again. We spent quite a while over there and enjoyed ourselves. Little Lexi got all the attention along with her cousin, Keaton! They both racked up in gifts! Lexi was a good girl and I believe she enjoyed herself there too!
There's really not much a child of 2 months old can enjoy at this age on the holidays...but just wait until next year and see what she does then!!!
Alexis' 2cd Christmas
Christmas 2003
This year, I took Alexis to get her pictures taken during the first week of December; just in time to get them back to send in our Christmas cards! She wore a red dress that had sparkles in the bottom trim w/ an over jacket that her Grandmother, Luda, bought for her for the main picture and I changed her into a plaid skirt w/ a black and red sweater that had scottish dogs on it, it was perfect for Christmas b/c the skirt had red, black, and white in it! She wore her hair in piggy tails with snowflake clips as well! She couldn't had been more perfect in her pictures! Then, a few days after that, Lexi got her pictures taken with her two cousins: Rebekah and Samantha @ Olan Mills! Lexi wore a Green and Red dress that her Great Aunt Sally, the two girls mother, made for them when they were smaller! They all came out great and they were too cute together for Christmas pictures! When Christmas was almost upon us, I took Alexis to get her picture taken with Santa Claus, most kids are afraid of Santa @ her age, but she was so happy and just smiled away and showed off her bright whites!
On Christmas Eve, Jeremy & Alexis stopped by my office for our little party, Lexi got a few stufties and got to play with Sophie, my jobs mascot, a doggie! We then went home and got ready for another family gathering, his Grandparents home! We met everyone over there and ate, played and then finally after most guests left, Nana and Pawpaw broke out the gifts...if only you could have seen it! We just about formed an assembly line from her attic to her living room just to get all the presents out, they were stacked about as tall as Lexi is when we were through! Needless to say, Alexis got some really nice stuff and had fun playing with the kids! Daddy was chasing her around while I got to sit and chat! We finally got home and in the bed by midnight!
Christmas morning came and we all got up at about the same time, all still sleepy of course! Lexi opened all of her presents from Santa, and from our family that lives in New Jersey, after getting a little help from Mommy and Daddy on how to open them! Santa brought her some clothes, bunches of toys, a Pet Salon, and many more things! She especially enjoyed her cell phones and flashlight! She was just so happy and content, it made me feel so good to see her like that. She played her little heart out until it was time to go to Mawmaw's house for Christmas dinner and presents! Lexi got a Little Tikes coupe Car, clothes, a ball pit, and money! Lexi and Keaton played together for awhile and then it was time to go again!
We went to the yearly family gathering @ church and ate again and just hung out and gave gifts. This family extends all the way through 5 generations! Alexis played with the others and had such a good time. That was Alexis' 2cd Christmas in a nut shell, she sure had fun, but still wasnt't quite sure exactly what was going on, I'm sure by Christmas of 2004, she will definitly have a new outlook on things!
