I'VE BEEN PAGING BACK THROUGH ALEXIS' BABY CALENDAR AND MY MIND, TO FIND SILLY AND CRAZY THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED, NOT TO MENTION THE NOT SO FUNNY THINGS AS WELL! SO WE HOPE YOU ENJOY READING ALL THE THINGS THAT CAN HAPPEN IN CHILDHOOD!!!
November 11th, 2002 I'm sorry to say that I have to start off with such a "stinky" Baby Blooper, but it's the first one and it is hilarious! Here Lexi is not even 1 month old yet, getting her diaper changed my mommy on the couch; I had everything ready and prepared to use, feeling pretty confident with changing diapers now and wouldn't you know, as soon as I move the diaper out of the way and started to use the baby wipe; the wipe touched her little fanny to start wiping her clean, she just about sprays me with poo....all over my jeans, my socks, my shirt, my chin and my lips!!! It went everywhere and I swear you would see something like this in the movies, not real life! I was laughing so hard I was crying when this happened! When I told "daddy" what happened later on, he said "Thats what you get for laughing @ me when Lexi pee's on me everytime I change her diaper!"
November 15th, 2002 Alexis dropped her pacifier and was trying to find it to suck on and she found her arm instead and started sucking on it and made a hicky mark!!
February 4th, 2003 Alexis has been quivering here and there since birth (This is normal), but on this day, Lexi's legs quivered alot and Uncle Karl nick-named her "Bunny Wabbit!"
March 1st, 2003 When Alexis wakes up in the morning, she makes cooing sounds and stuff until mommy or daddy wakes up too, well she got to where she started poking us in the eyeballs and putting her fingers up our noses and pulling on our lips; but if she is close enough to daddys chest, she'll grab a handful of his chest hair and pull away, garanteeing a wake-up call!
June 4th, 2003 This day is the first day that we recorded Alexis getting the hick-ups after she laughs or giggles, in fact, EVERY single time she giggles or laughs after this she gets the hick-ups! Its funny!
August 2cd, 2003 Grandma Luda plays with Alexis outside and Lexi see's something jumping around & making noises, wanting us to get closer - its a dog!! So we get close to it and Lexi goes nuts!!! Her arms start flying everywhere, she staring, laughing and squirming in my mom's arms, wanting to get down and play with the dog! Definitly one of the cutest craziest things I have seen Alexis do!
August 4th, 2003 Alexis walks around the house making an unbelievable crazy chuckle - there's really no way to describe it other then her trying to do an impression of Mommy laughing and its as if she strains to get it out!
September 9th, 2003 Alexis was at home with Daddy drinking from her sippy cup, she spilled a little out of it onto the carpet. Well, a minute later when daddy looks over @ her, she is squatting down, dabbing her finger in the spill and licking it!! We guess she wants every last drop of her juice!!!
September 29th, 2003 Here you are @ home with Daddy, while Daddy is on the computer you decide to climb up on the couch by pushing your ride-on Cow up to the edge, when you got up there you grabbed the strings to the shade, one string in one hand and one string in the other, turned around and started running down the couch with arms in the air holding onto the strings, well the strings ran out and stopped you short, you went sailing off the couch and landed with your head in the seat part of your Cow - then got up and giggled about it!
October 4th & 5th, 2003 Alexis is sitting near the coffee table playing with a toy and when she finished playing she used her hands to get her butt and legs up, then went to stand up completely and her forehead met with the corner of the coffee table; she got a huge lump on her forehead, right smack dab in the middle. Well, the very next day she went running and tripped over her own feet and again hit her head in the same exact spot by the coffee table.
October 23rd, 2003 Lexi's little friends gave her a soft little lamb chair b/c it was too small for them; well Alexis decided she was gonna climb up it & the chair not having any weight itself, toppled over taking Lexi with it! She got up, gave a confused look, laughed and smiled and turned the chair right side and up and continued to do it for fun!
November 8th, 2003 This day Alexis was a sick girl, we got back home after going to the doctors office and getting her meds and she wanted to play with her blanket. So I got her blanket out and layed it on the floor, well somehow she slipped, her face slammed down on the coffee table making her paci fly out of her mouth and her two bottom teeth went directly through her lip! =( Needless to say, we no longer have the coffee table!!!
AS YOU CAN SEE MANY THINGS HAPPEN TO BABIES BEFORE THEY EVEN TURN 1...DON'T BE DISCOURAGED BY THESE THINGS THOUGH, BECAUSE IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE, IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, JUST TRY TO PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THESE TIMES!
JUST A WORD OF ADVICE: IF YOU OWN A WOODEN COFFEE TABLE, REMOVE IT BEFORE THEY START TO WALK!
