August 2002-The St. Norbert 5th(now 7th) Grade team was able to advance to the finals of the St. Sabina tournament, taking on Sts.Joachim and Ann for the championship. It was hard fought from the start, with Joachim and Ann drawing first blood by chipping a shot over goalie Marky Mirth's head.It was back and forth for the rest of the half, with J & A leading 1-0 at halftime. The second half was as grueling as the first, and neither team scored until late in the game. With under 5 minutes to go,midfeilder Michael Crown intercepted a goal kick from J & A's Box.He dribbled into the 18-yard box and unleashed a shot over the keeper and into the back of the net.Obviously th game went to overtime. The fatigue really began to set in as neither team was able to score early on in overtime. Then, Norbert brought it up the feild and Michael Crown received the ball in the box.He passed it across to a waiting Jimmy Scott to put it in and capture the championship.

August 2001-St. Sabina Tournament,Joachim & Ann vs. St. Norbert.
This game was to decide who advanced to the final.Norbert and J&A pulled out all the stops, but by the end of two halfs it was 0-0.Not even overtime could produce any goals for either team,so the game needed to be decided with penalty kicks.Norbert was down to J&A 4 to 3,and with their last shooter coming up,Michael Crown had to score or the game was over. His shot hit straight on the post, causing the ball to bounce out and not in.Therefore,J&A would advance to the final, but lose to St Elizabeth.
December 2001-City County Championship,St. Elizabeth vs. St. Norbert.
With St. Norbert as the underdog for the first time in years, nobody expected what the outcome of this match would be.For once, the Black and Blues had to think strategically to win, with Michael Crown and Danny Pratte being assigned to mark St. Elizabeth's two best scorers out of the game.Michael shut down the forwards offense, and Danny held strong, making the score even 0-0 at the end of the first half. All through the second half,St. Elizabeth's best scorer was turned off by Crown, and Pratte stopped the big midfeilder.Late in the second half,Byron Endsley got a break and rushed down the feild with the ball!He was pulled down in the box, giving Norbert a Penaly Kick!!Brian Groark was given the kick.He drove it right by the keeper, giving Norbert the lead! The Norbert defense held on to give Norbert their second straight City-County Championship with a score of 1-0.
