When you think of cats you usually think of Tabby, Siamese, or maybe you think of cute and adorable kittens. But my cat is no ordinary cat, it is a Bengal cat, a very rare breed of cat. This cat is not ordinary because it is 4th generation Asian Snow Leopard and Egyptian Mau. My cat has spots and stripes and looks like a miniature leopard. Bengal cats are divided into three class depending on their color. They are Classic, Seal Mink Spotted, and Brown Marble, mine of which is a classic breed. Classic Breed has a ground color of that ranges from a silvery-gray to a sandy bluff color. The classics either have gold or green eyes, never blue. The spotting color ranges from black to light brown.
Bengals are very active and talkative in a cat sort of way. My cat, whenever she wants something, you hear about it, and I mean hear about it. Her meow is more like screech or a holler it and when she does it at the top of her lungs you can just imagine. She loves water unlike most cats Bengals have dog-like characteristics. My cat chewed up a magazine of mine once and she was tearing just like a dog would with her teeth. Some people say that Bengals are the exotic domestic cat of the cat world. My cat has not done this yet but Bengals have the tendency to jump up and grab the ceiling fan cord and pull and to jump onto the swinging fan. My cat is very odd, she sheds so much that we have to vacuum the hair off of her and she likes it, she doesn’t even mind the noise.
My cat is the weirdest cat that I know. But in my household she fits right in. She is as much a part of my family as any other. I love her for being unique, I don’t think I’ll ever be tired of her.
