Peer Helpers- Peer helpers is a group that is a lot of fun. Being a peep helper means making signs for red ribbon week and the great American smoke out, hanging up posters, tying red ribbons around the school, selling balloons around Christmas time, and other fun things such as going to 6 Flags and Tantara. The sign up for peer helpers is already up but you can do it in high school and the following 7th and 8th graders can still do it.

Student Council- Student Council is a group where 6th, 7th and 8th graders can do. You run at the beginning of the year and you must have good behavior and grades. 6th graders can only run for representative. 7th and 8th graders can run for representative, secretary, vice president, and president. Although I advise 7th graders to only run for representative, because they never win any of the other things. Anyways, if you get elected you get to help plane and decorate the 4 school dance.

Nation Junior Honor Society- I’m not actually quite sure what NJHS does cause I’m not in it cause our school is well… stupid, but anyways I asked Lacey and she wasn’t quite sure either. She said she thinks they do activities and fundraisers to help out the school and stuff. At the end of the year they give you an invitation to join so if you didn’t do it this year you can do it in high school or if you are still gonna be in Jr. High next year (and are going to be in 8th grade) you can do it then.

Newspaper/ Yearbook- Newspaper and yearbook are now an after school activity. This year you sign up for it at the beginning of the year. In there you write for the newspaper and help design the yearbook. I think this year since Ms. Finley is no longer with our school, it is going to be done by Mrs. Toebben. (the math teacher not the librarian) but I am not positive.

Sports- I’m not gonna go in depth about all of these so I gather it all together in a sports group. The sports for 7th and 8th grade boys are football, basketball, track, and cheerleading if they really wanna do it. The sports for 7th and 8th grade girls are volleyball, basketball, track, and cheerleading. I think there is also soccer during the summer, but that is different. Some of the try outs have already passed but as I said before about high school and the 6th and 7th graders.

Well those are the activities you can do in Warrenton “middle school.”
