The Road to High School

Another day, another month, and another year has gone by. Usually not a big deal for someone like me but this is High School. New school, older people then I'm used to, and most of all.....HARDER CLASSES! The new school, bigger, with more floors. In the previous years I have only been in one hallway, containing the gym, cafeteria, and the drama room. I only got one class I wanted, and that was my second choice, Agriculture Science 1. Some of you may say, I see why you could get into that class. But, I think it will be fun. I have Survey of the Arts, sounds boring but...EASY CLASSES EQUALS EASY A's! Plus with my three other honors classes I might need a little breather between Honors Physical Science and Honors Landuage Arts. The lockers are smaller this year which means less room, no possible way to have a partner, could be bad, could be good. Who knows. I asked one of the sophmores that I had summer school PE with...there are no advisory's. Which will totally stink for the Freshman's because we will have no idea what to do in the mornings. This no advisory thing except three times a year will be a hectic mess of chaos. I was planning on doing Student Council this year. But when I got the letter about this over-night lock-in on the same week I was going on vacation, I already had anticipated the worse about this whole Student Council thing. So when my mom asked one of the high school girl she worked with they said that the only people that really do student council are the nerds, and that it takes a lot of time and effort. That when I knew that I couldn't give "110%" because of Softball and Soccer. No offense to anyone doing Student Council, I don't see them as nerds even though I know that I am one. :) And may I say that I am proud of it!!!!! And anyone who knows me knows, that I'm a nerd with lots of friends who doesn't act like a nerd. Many people say I'm not but I know I am. So I'm sort of looking for to school. Little nervous, little anxious, and a little, " I wish it would get here so I wouldn't have to feel this way!" The high school girl also said that, for the first day of school, all you really need is a folder for the little "what we're going to be doing this year, have your parents sign it" and a notebook to write down what you'll need and of course a pencil/pen to write with. Another thing I am curious about is...bookbags. The lockers are so small I doubt I will even carry one but let's see what other people say. E-mail me and tell me what you think!!!
