WHAT IS T.C. A. A.

T.C.A.A. stands for Temple Charity Activities Association. The Temple Charity Activities Association is registered with the State of Missouri as a 501-C3 Not for Profit Charitable Organization that is part of Moolah Shriners ...and the Masons...

The Moolah Shriners is comprised of a number of different, what we call units. Each unit serves a specific function (ie. Air Patrol, Arab Patrol, Drum Corp, Band, Clowns, Guides, Motor Patrol). The memebership of T.C.A.A. is free and comprised of all individuals that belong to any unit within Moolah Temple. Each year representatives from each unit..or as we call them DIRECTORS..are elected to represent each unit on the T.C.A.A. Board of Directors. By becoming a member of the T.C.A.A. board, the members serve two basic functions:

1.) to foster and promote the welfare and brotherhood throughout Moolah Temple

This is accomplished by organizing and sponsoring activities for the membership to participate in. It is a method of bringing together all the units and helping individuals to expand and extend there friendship and brotherhood beyond their individual unit and across then entire orgainization.

Historically these activities have included such things as the News Year Eve party, an annual Bar B Q for all units, a Mass Meeting for election of officers, Ladies Night and some form of fund raiser.

2.) to assist the St. Louis Shriner's Hospital when unbudgetted items are encountered

The second, but truely the more important of the two, is assisting the hospital when items are needed that are not covered by the normal operational budget. As a general rule these items or the non medical items..things for the children that are patients of the hospital.

This is accomplished by sponsored fund raisers and donations.

The Temple Charity Acrivities Association is the not for profit group of Moolah Temple. It is through this organization that donations may be made that will afford the contributor a possible tax deduction or other tax benefits.

Historically these things have included, but are not limited to televsions for patients, games for the children, picnic tables, umbrellas for the tables, Bar B Q pit, material for gowns, sound and public address system, Christmas presents, Easter baskets, and transportation funds for patients. The transportation, treatment and stay at the hopsital is free to patients and our the T.C.A.A. does that it can to make the stay for the children, that in many cases are away from home and family, as pleasent as possible.
