Two hearts... that joined together,
Both gentle, wounded souls;
Two seperate yearning spirits,
That formed a loving whole.
Two hearts...that became lovers,
That claimed forever after;
And shared their many triumphs,
Their sorrows and their laughter.
Two hearts... that tested friendship,
To see if it could last;
Knowing there could be no future,
Unable to release the past.
Two hearts.... that made a promise,
Believing it could be kept;
One said they could not keep it,
The other heart just wept.
Two hearts... now stand divided,
Not forgetting what was said;
No one to ever witness...
How much the two hearts bled.
Two hearts...that now beat silent,
Wounded deep from love so true;
Marred now with scars forever...
All thats left of me and you.
