I need school. Now. Quickly. My life is boring without it. And I want to go to school so I can brag. I made first chair in Honors Orchestra. w00t w00t. Let me get into the details, because we all know I'm good at that:

Friday in Orchestra Mr. Hale wasn't there (duh.) We knew that after school he would be there and he would tell us if we made HO or not. We found him after school on Thursday, but he wouldn't tell us. He said he'd tell us the next day. Which is Friday. So during Orchestra Betsy and I devised a plan. I was gonna get out of Science, go by her locker, then we'd both go to mine and get my coat, then go Hale Hunting. So anyway, we did that at the end of the day and saw his bald head at the other end of one of these halls. He saw us and we walked into where the hall branches out into a little hall leading to the library so that we could get away from the mad rush of 6th graders. So he gets out this sheet of paper that has all of the orchestra sections with names of people who made it, their school, and their chair. First he put his finger under Betsy's name. She got second chair (Go Betsy! Rawk on!). I couldn't see my name 'cause his big white hairy arm was in the way. Then, while Betsy was celebrating, he showed me my name. I got first chair. I was pretty dumbfounded for a bit. I looked at what chairs the other cellos got. I beat, like, 4 other 8th graders that are probably better than me. I just looked up at Mr. Hale and he had this snug little smile on his face. He said congratulations to us, then I left to get on the bus. One of the best parts was that I beat Brad. You have no idea how much of a goal that has been for me. In any of my wildest dreams the day before the tryouts, all of the scenarios I created in my mind, in every one Brad was one chair ahead of me. I was dreaming of getting 3rd or 4th chair. It ended up that I got 1st and Brad got 5th. Throw a party.

Well, I've gotta go, I'm talking to Betsy. Later days.
