The 2004 Toys for Tots Campaign is in full swing! This year we hope to surpass last years
numbers, making a lot of families very happy this year. This is the time of year to give so please
get out to one of our remote locations and donate a gift or a few dollars to help these unfortunate
families. If you are in the League please if you can come out and donate your time for such a
worthy cause! All of the dates and times for the locations of the live remotes are listed on the
Upcoming Events page.
The Toys For Tots Program is a program adopted by the Cpl. Mason O. Yarbrough
Detachment yearly. It is meant to help the unfortunate kids that are not able to have
a Christmas. We get a list of children from the Salvation Army, and various
organizations to help. The Toys For Tots Program is the largest drive of the year for
the Marine Corps League.
In the 2003 Toys For Tots Campaign, we provided toys for nearly 950 families in 11
different counties. That averaged out to roughly 1,550 kids and 5,459 toys collected,
and over $8,000 dollars in money raised. That exceeded our personal expectations
and we topped our 2002 totals. This year we plan to exceed our goals again, and
make it a VERY Merry Christmas for a lot of families!!
