Workers begin breaking ground.
A 2 ft. deep hole is dug for the foundation.
Quick dry cement is mixed for the footing.
The mixture is added to the hole.
2x4's are placed over the cement while the base stone is set.
The base stone is swung into place.
The base stone is leveled and adjusted.
Spacers are added while the Monument is lifted over.
Now the heavy part. The Monument weighs over 1800 lbs.
Workers adjust the Monument into place.
Final adjustment are made.
A special granite epoxy is used to seal the two pieces.
Pennies are placed between the stones for spacing.
A final wash down and a last minute polishing is done.
