LIBERTARIAN PRINCIPLES

According to the misinformed masses, the word Libertarian refers to a Republican who smokes pot. In the words of post-millennium cable television newspeak, THE ABOVE PHRASE IS WRONG!

Libertarianism is a outlook of ultimate liberty. This system does not observe principles in the outdated black and white, liberal/conservative, left-wing/right-wing vision. Instead this more centrist outlook consists of upholding freedom to the upmost through consistancy. Despite bickering amongst libertarians, this political philosophy is probably the most consistant political outlook because it upholds freedom even when it covers an outspoken topic.

The most basic principle a freedom loving person upholds is his individuality. Any human creature missing this basic component who has his decisions formed by an outside party [usually a government] minus any previously written contract diminshes the value of his private property [if he is even allowed to own any]. Any collective party violates an individual's private interest of self-happiness by allowing a large beaurocratic government to interfere with a free will in any decision making process.

Central economic decision making [aka; statism] violates another priciple of Libertarianism, laissez-faire economics, or more commonly known as free-market economics [which ironically does not exist anywhere despite political rhetoric]. A government hands off economic policy of a sound free will decision making process and rights to private property are strengthened in a free market. A basis for a stronger economy and stronger individual liberty are formed through this total market economy.

The infrastructure of a free market system is compatible with a governmental philosophy agreeing with individual liberties and downsizing governmental authoritarian powers. But, what do you do when someboady else has crossed the boundaries of freedom to make you a victim? Then the state should step in to settle the matter, and in the mean time, rid its' law books of victimless crimes such as drug possession, prostitution, etc. In order to achieve individual liberty, a consistent system has to be created in order to defeat either mob rule or an aristocratic system.
