Touched By An Angel
In Memory of Moses Vargas
Many have been touched by this angel,
Even though his life was much to short.
I know God sent him here to earth,
To live forever in so many hearts.
We'll never understand why one so loving,
Had to die on that August day.
Since his life had been one so meaningful,
But some heroes die young, so they say.
He continued to touch many others,
With his gifts of life, even in death.
They were touched by this angel,
Reaching out to help with his last breath.
Those who had tried to end his life,
In such a violent senseless way.
Was foiled by his departing gift,
This angel's legacy on that faithful day.

This poem I dedicate to the memory of Moses Vargas
whose life was cut short at such a very young age
by a senseless act of violence. His legacy lives on
in the others that his organ donations helped to
improve their lives. I never knew this young man but
I have been touched by reading about him.
