"The first four pictures above are the view from the bluff. The next picture is the creek, which is basically just a channel off of the Mississippi River. The photo to the right of that is several of us crossing a bridge, which is actually made out of a barge. Yep, they brought that thing in with a tugboat and laid it sideways across the creek when the water was up, then anchored it off until the waters went down, and the barge settled in place as a bridge. Cool, huh? The last picture is the "old bridge" that we used to cross before they brought in the barge. It's far too worn out now to cross over on..."
"Every year we try to have an annual hayride and pumpkin pick for the kids so we'll have alot of pumpkins for Halloween. We sure have a great time, but there's only one problem... There's a "pumpkin witch" that lives up there in the woods and she always tries to steal our pumpkins while we're picking them! She sure is a mean and ugly, old thing! She runs out of the woods, hollaring and laughing at us, and actually tries to chase us away, but we always chase her off in the end! One year, we ran her right out of her shoes! Silly witch...We won't let her have our pumpkins!"
