Just checking in to say "howdy!" Beautiful sunny 70 degree day here in St. Louis. Jer was in town last week looking good as ever. More importantly, he's feeling terrific. That $50 oil has him really rev'd up!
He's back in Vero Beach, FL now, and I hope to get down there around March 25 after spending a couple of days with Bob Smith, another St. Louis friend and Yale '57 grad, up in Amelia Island. If all goes as I've sketched it out, I'll hope to catch up with Bebe Weinrich in New Smyrna Beach on the drive down to Vero from Jacksonville, and of course, rendezvous with Shirley and Alex Weissenborn in Vero.
I had a fun dinner with Jean Baer O'Gorman and Saylor "Dukie" Kraus Ferrin at Bristol's in early February. Jean was spending a few days with Dukie while giving her (Jean's) new puppy a workout at a big Purina Dog show / trial. Then they are heading west driving in tandem with Jean stopping at her home in Santa Fe, NM, while Dukie trips on down the road to her abode in Phoenix.
Well, drop me a line, and I'll put it up here. I see Angelfire now has free blog. That's the lastest rage in cyberspace. "One of these days" I'm going to check it out. We can have jbs53er's chiming in from around the globe!

Note: Forest Park Expressway is closed from Central Ave. in Clayton east to DeBaliviere because of Metrolink expansion, including the portion called Midland that runs along the north side of Washington Univ. To get to the Philpotts' from I-170, head east on the Forest Park Expressway to Central Ave (last exit). On Central it is two blocks north to Forsyth.Turn east (right) on Forsyth, cross Hanley, turn north (left) on Jackson (by the old Famous Barr building), then east (right) on Westmoreland to 7345.
