I Lott Griffin of the county of St. Francois in the state of Missouri do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.

First-It is my will that all my last debts be paid, and that as sufficient amount of my personal Estate be sold (if necessary) for that purpose.

Second-I give and bequeath to each of my sons Josephus P. and John W. Griffin, one bed and furniture and one cow and calf.

Third-I give and bequeath to my son Andrew I. Griffin one bed and furniture and one cow and calf.

Fourth-I give and bequeath to my daughters Rhoda D. Griffin, Lucinda S. Griffin and Elizabeth H. Griffin each one bed and furniture and one saddle and one cow and calf.

Fifth-I give and bequeath to my daughter Meekee C. Griffin one bed and furniture also the sum of four hundred dollars the interest of which is to be appropriated to her use annually and at her death said sum to go to her heirs.

Sixth-I give bequeath and devise unto my beloved wife Meekee Griffin the farm and tract of land upon which I now reside together with all my lands thereto adjoining together with all the privileges and appertences thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold the said tracts of land and benefit ( and for the support of my daughter Meekee) during her natural life. I further give and bequeath to my said wife Meekee
Griffin all my personal estate ( after the aforesaid Legecies and debts are paid) of whatever name and description the same may be to dispose of as she may deem proper.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixes my seal this first day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.
