Hookedonfishn Rules - Entry Form
RULE CHANGES: These rules will remain unchanged during 2002. Rule interpretation will be left exclusively to the tournament director. The decisions of the tournament director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal.
PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Anyone who has paid the appropriate entry is eligible.
Registrations will be accepted by mail or at ramp the day of the tournament, 30 minutes before take-off. ( 50 BOAT LIMIT). Hookedonfishn reserves the right to refuse any entry based on past polygraph refusals or failure to pass, as well as any other reasons found unfavorable.
PRE-TOURNAMENT MEETING: At least 1 member of each team must attend the pre-tournament meeting 30 minutes prior to tournament start time to receive boat numbers. Departure will be in sequence in which entry forms are received.
LIVE WELL CHECK: All boats must have an aerated live well large enough to maintain the tournament limit in releasable condition. Live wells will be checked prior to start of tournament.
TACKLE & EQUIPMENT: All fish must be caught by rod and reel method on artificial baits only (Pork type baits permitted). Trolling is not permitted. Landing nets are allowed to help land your fish.
PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS: Contestants may fish anywhere on the tournament body of water accessible by boat with the following exceptions: No fishing within any "off-Limits" or "no fishing" areas designated by local, state, or federal agencies. No fishing within 50 yards of any commercial gas dock or another competitors boat which was first anchored. Trailering of boats will not be allowed. Any additional off limits areas will be covered at the pre-tournament meeting.
SCORING: (5 fish limit) Scoring will be determined by the pounds and ounces caught by each team during the tournament hours. Only Largemouth, Spotted or Smallmouth Bass (15" in length as measured using the Golden Rule) will be accepted for weigh-in. One (1) pound penalty plus loss of that fish will be imposed for each short fish submitted for weigh-in. One (1) pound penalty will be imposed for each dead fish PLUS loss of Big Bass Entry. Mangled fish will not be allowed for weigh in. There will be a penalty of (1) pound per minute assessed against any team reporting late for weigh-in. After 10 minutes the team is disqualified. All releaseabe fish will be released immediately upon weigh-in.
TIES: All ties will be broken by earliest entry.
WEIGH-BAGS: Each team is responsible for their own weigh-bags.
SAFETY REGULATIONS: All boats must meet all U.S. Coast Guard Regulations. Safe boating will be observed at all times. Wearing a Coast Guard approved life jacket is required anytime the combustion engine is running. All boats must be equipped with a emergency ignition kill switch which must be securely attached to the driver's body whenever the combustion engine is in operation. Liability insurance is required of all contestants.
KNOWLEDGE OF THESE RULES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CONTESTANT. Failure to comply with or ignorance of these rules could result in disqulification. All contestants are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Any contestant who displays poor sportsmanship, violates these rules or any state or local laws will be disqualified.
RESPONSIBILITES: The tournament director Dale Jones, Hookedonfishn tournaments and its committee, and all participating sponsors are not responsible for any accidents or incidents.

* In signing this entry form we hereby waive and release Hookedonfishn and all other contestants, sponsors, host and tournament officials from all claims for injury and/or damges incurred in connection with this tournament. We verify that we have current liability insurance in force. We have read and understand the rules and agree to abide by them.
