Mechal's son Sam, married Leah Shpall and lived in Denver until his death in 1977. Second son, Isaac married Minnie and also lived in Denver. He died in 1950. Shika Bernstein and his wife Chana remained in Konstantine and died in the holocaust. Mechal's son Max moved from Nikolayev to Konstantine in 1914. He left for Argentina in 1919 with his wife, Chana Shatz. Max arrived in the U.S. in 1921 and is living in Denver. Mechal's youngest daughter, Sarah, married Sol Lichtenstein. She lived in Denver and later Dallas where she died in 1975.
Miriam's second son, Motil, married his first cousin, Chana Cwengel, daughter of Nechah.
Jake Bernstein, Motil and Chana's son, married Sarah Fleischman and is living in Denver. Their one son, Leroy, is a physician. Motil and Chana's daughter, Dora, married her cousin Dr. Meyer Shmuger, and is living in Denver.
Miriam's daughter, Ida, married Jake Shmuger and lived in Konstantine. Jake was murdered in 1914 while travelling on the road. Ida and family emigrated to the U.S. and lived a few years in New York before moving to Denver. It was Ida's son Meyer, who became a doctor and married cousin Dora Bernstein. Ida's other children include Rose Shmuger Ludovich Kisilof, who is living in Denver, Dena who died in New York at age 17 or 18 of peritonitis following an appendectomy, and Manya Shmuger Mechanik, who is also living in Denver.
