Just how does one prepare,
 when it's time for a new beginning?
Is there fortune to spare,
 when your luck has not been winning?
Can the sands of time be taken back,
 into the hourglass
Or are we doomed to future black,
 enduring love's impasse?

Yet, I walk with strength and confidence,
 a path of doubt and fear;
my heart at length burns the evidence,
 its meaning, crystal clear.
With opened eyes and open heart,
 I boldly stride ahead;
My guard is down my spirit's high,
 I haven't been misled.
