ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

The MacDonald camp hosted the second annual Missouri Division picnic at Montauk State Park.
 
The MacDonald camp formed a color guard detail and artillery battery for the monument dedication for Confederate
soldiers killed at the battle of Hartville Mo. (Jan. 1863). The Hartville monument was erected and dedicated by the
Gen. James H. McBride Camp# 632, Springfield, Mo.
 
The MacDonald camp held Confederate memorial day services at the Steele Cemetery Hartville, Mo. (April 2001).
 
The MacDonald camp placed approximately 50 Confederate Battle flags on the graves of Confederate veterans
buried in Wright and Texas Counties, Missouri (April-May 2001).
 
The MacDonald camp donated $400.00 worth of frozen food to the New Life Outreach Christmas food drive.
 
The MacDonald camp set 8 military stones for Confederate veterans.
 
The MacDonald camp held 5 headstone dedications for Confederate veterans in Wright and Texas Counties.
 
The MacDonald camp held 4 cannon firing demonstrations for area schools and 1 demonstration for the public
 
MacDonald camp members are the caretakers for the Lynch cemetery (Texas County) and Fairview Cemetery
(Wright County). Confederate Veterans are buried in both cemeteries.
 
The MacDonald camp has completed fund raising for a monument dedicated to Confederate soldiers killed,
wounded, and captured at the skirmish of Mtn. Grove, Mo. (March 9 1862)
 
The MacDonald camp held cannon firing demonstrations at the Battle of Springfield marker dedication ceremonies,
Jenny Lincoln Park, Springfield Mo. (May 2001)
 
Comments: The Col. MacDonald camp has had another successful year.The camp strives to preserve Confederate
history and promote Sons of Confederate Veterans issues with the same gallantry, zeal and untiring endurance
that Col. Emmett MacDonald portrayed upon the field of battle.
