Disaster Relief
Pierce City Missouri May 5, 2003
On the evening of May 5, 2003 a killer tornadic storm thrust through southern Missouri destroying everything in its path, including the main thoroughfare of Pierce City.  Branson/Tri-Lakes answered the call at 2200.

Our members were unprepared for the level of destruction they found.  Many of the buildings were uninhabitable and probably beyond any hope of repair.  Experienced SAR personnel with dog teams were already on site, so we supplemented Missouri National Guard personnel in providing security.  Major and Captain Wiley flew a much needed photo reconnaissance mission to document the level of devastation for Missouri SEMA and eventually FEMA.
