| Ziggy was most certainly the best find we ever made. Ziggy was at the local auction one night and he sparked my interest, not because of his exceptional beauty but because they said, "This horse loads well and can be caught at any time." At that time we had no horses that could be caught in pasture easily, and only one horse, Oliver, would load easily. I leapt over three aisles of auction-house bleachers to tell the ringmaster to take the saddle of the horse. One look at his nice back, and his straight legs, and his exceptional shoulder, and Mike and I began bidding. Ziggy was ours. And his pedigree that we received later about knocked us over. He has not one, not two, but three triple crown winners in his lineage. Ziggy also made 5,000.00 at the track during his racing career. Ziggy is now training for three-day eventing and dressage. |
