These are some of my poems. Those marked by an asterisk are rather dark.

Mental Travels

There are worlds
Where silence treads
In echoes,
From past-flung lives.

There is darkness
Locked in minds,
In death
Where wings beat softly.

In these places
Roves the trav'ler,
Now lost
In mental spiral.

They wander
Past misted memories,
On paths
Wreathed in moonlight.

Over dust-hills,
In the clinging wood
Now silent,
Watching endlessly.

See moonbeams
Caress the still-caught air,
On winds
Of quiet animosity.

Don't Disturb

Something sleeps here
Quiet
Quiet
Careful!
Don't disturb.

Something lies here
Silent
Silent
Careful!
Don't disturb.

Something here
In darkness lies,
Something here
With darkness eyes.
Something resting
Well aware
Something resting
Knows you're there.
Something breathing
Takes you in
Something breathing
Back again.

You don't disturb it
Yet.
Not yet.
But careful!
Don't disturb.

There is Something Here

There is something here
You cannot see.
But it can see you...

There is something here
You cannot hear.
But it can hear you...

There is something lurking
Beneath the stairs
In broken windows
Quiet lairs
In darkened doorways
Shrouded dim,
It hears you,
Sees you
Coming in
And readies now
To pounce upon,
To break the darkness
Catch the dawn...

There is something here
You cannot touch.
But it can touch you...

There is something here.
It cannot feel.
But you can.

Where Anger Lies

Alone, alone,
In darkened skies,
In sharpened death,
Where anger lies;
In Sorrow's Sea,
Of crashing waves,
Where beating light,
With bloodied staves,
Are mangled bodies,
Blinded eyes,
In sharpened death,
Where anger lies;
In broken bones,
Of broken dust,
Amidst the rubble,
Within the rust,
Are sharpened teeth,
In silent maws,
With hanging skin,
And broken jaws,
Screaming forth,
To spew the lies,
In sharpened death,
Where anger lies;
Alone, alone,
And on its own,
With naught or ever,
To call a home.

In Sorrow's Sea,
In darkened skies,
In sharpened death,
There anger lies.

Angels' Dreams

Exhaustion,
Eating.
Sorrow,
Meeting.
Anger,
Greeting,
Writhing,
Seething.
Angels,
Dreaming,
Happy,
Seeming.
Lying
Dying
Falling
Calling
Drifting
Sifting

Black.

Subdued

Alone.
Stand among many,
Yet remain isolated.
All there and yet all,
Alone.

Unseen.
Remain in plain view,
One among many.
All different and yet,
Unseen.

One thought,
Slipping away from the flow.
A different direction,
You sit and stand out.
One thought.

Color.
In gray world of mind,
You leap out alone,
With brightness and laughter and,
Color.

Subdued.
They drag the mind down,
Through worlds now of dirt;
Those things that now make you,
Subdued.

Unicorn

The unicorn's horn,
A golden spire,
Its hooves of great shining silver.

Its breath, the wind,
Its eyes, the moon,
Oh, Unicorn, come hither.

Hide of snow,
Its mane the sky,
Its neck a beautiful rainbow.

Hoof prints, the stars,
Her tail, the lightning.
She is known both near and far.

Beauty, majesty and glory,
None could tame her story.

Nature

Dragons of fire,
And twisting of flame,
Slilence un-turning,
Without any name.

The quiet and churning,
And darkness of night.
Quiet unfolding,
With seepings of might.

Roaring and screaming,
With tidings of day.
Flightings and fallings,
And losings of way.

Sweeping and swirling,
In light and in dark;
Turning and twisting,
And leaving no mark.

Pulling and lifting,
And tearing away.
Moaning and wailing,
'Til break of the day.

The Creatures

The dragons of forest,
And dragons of sea,
The creatures of lightning,
And powers that be,
Now dwell in the clouds,
In light and in song,
Where life now eternal,
Goes ever and long.

Translucence

Wind,
Lone wind,
Blowing 'cross the mind.

Black,
All empty,
Nothing one can find.

Painless,
Without feeling,
Body without a soul.

Colorless,
Empty waves,
Beating translucent shoal.

Don't

Don't bring your heartache to me.
Take it to the song in the sky.
Take it to a place where the green grass grows,
Or where whales go, yearning to die.

Don't bring your sorrows to me.
Take them to the shadows of mountains.
Give them to dragons of darkness and flame,
Or the sirens of poisoned fountains.

Don't bring your sadness to me.
Take it to the seas of the skies.
Take it to flames of a brightness of day,
Or where the shadow of Beauty lies.

Don't share your darkness with me,
For I have more than ever you'd know.
I already hold all your sorrows.
They find me themselves...

Same Again

Sorrow, sorrow
Seeping through.
Past hopes and dreams
There's nothing new.

A broken mirror
Lies shattered, ground
Upon the earth
In bitter sound

Of weeping eyes
For something then
That laughs and mocks
You back again

To worlds of gray
And worlds of night
Where darkness casts
It's zero-light.

A standing wish
For something new,
For something different
Something true.

Yet always, always
Same again
To taunt and mock you
Back again.

To Tell

I think those words
I cannot speak
I yearn for,
Dread their coming.
I jump at chance,
Pull back in fear,
Restrain my tongue
Its running.

Would you reject
Those simple words
So drenched with
Forceful meaning?
Turn back in haste
At rambling waste,
Emotion left
In churning.

To speak them now,
Lay bare my heart
Before you,
Unrestrained,
A dreading wish,
A heart-felt fear,
Spill over yet
Contained.

I love you more
Than words can say
That thought could yet
Provoke.
To tell you oh,
To tell you.
And regret, perhaps,
I spoke...
