Welcome to page number two of my resume. I guess you can call this a long form bio. Here is the up to date story of how my career evolved to where it is now:

In 1993 I entered the radio program at Lewis and Clark Community College to pursue my goal of becoming a professional broadcaster. I made the Dean’s and President’s lists on my way to the completion of an A.A.S. in December 1995. It was difficult at times. As a full time student, I maintained a full time job at Red Lobster, and I juggled my personal life. Plus I did a seven hour weekly double air-shift at the college FM station, WLCA (alternative rock). Part of the seven hour shift included my own hip hop/rap show.

PLUS! My show included a project I composed and executed once or twice a shift, once a week. It was called the Nasty News and World Report. The report was a three to seven minute news comedy skit complete with my alter ego, Big Daddy Woo Woo. The skit required lots of writing and research.

PLUS!! For a time, I was also News Director at WLCA!

PLUS!!! For a time, while in college, I was President of the Black Student Association!

For a Lewis and Clark Community College (WLCA) reference, call Mike Lemons at 618-466-3411 ext 4940.

I still found time to intern at KXOK doing promotions in early 1995. Later that same year, I returned there to work as a paid board operator.

I had always dreamed of living in warm, sunny Florida, so as 1995 was nearing its end, I made arrangements to move there.

Prior to moving, I sent 40 to 50 tapes to many stations in and around the Tampa and Orlando areas, and I made numerous calls. I landed a part time gig at WRXB in St. Petersburg, and I transferred from the Red Lobster where I worked, to the Red Lobster across the street from Busch Gardens in Tampa.

After arriving in Florida, I quickly followed up on all of my hot leads when I got there. I didn’t move to Tampa blindly. I did some research before I moved. With no major market experience, I was lucky to get a start at WRXB!

I had deejayed all my life, and I did get valuable air time in college, so I figured my strong pipes, delivery, and personality would help me get full time work. Tampa, at the time, was a big market, but not a huge Urban outlet. Both of the Urbans were on the AM dial, but I thought I had a chance at getting on the #1 Urban station there -- WTMP.

I endured the hassle of driving all the way across the bay from Tampa to St. Pete twice a weekend, just to pay my dues. I did well at WRXB, so well in fact that I was offered the full-time afternoon drive slot, but they offered less than half of what I was making at Red Lobster. I wouldn't have survived, so I declined the offer. The management at WRXB was sad to see me go when I left for my first full-time gig. Nobody I worked with is still there. Call 727-327-9792.

The tapes I had sent from St. Louis went all over Central Florida. I also followed up leads in the smaller fringe markets. While working for WRXB, and for a couple of months afterward, I did some free lance work for WKFL "High Country", Bushnell, Florida. It was a good hour drive from Tampa, but the pay was good for me. I hosted a few remotes from a number of dealerships, and I did a shift or two on the air. For reference, call Henry Furhman at 352-793-9535.

By April of 1996, I got REALLY lucky! I landed a full-time gig at WTMP, doing nights! It was interesting how I got the WTMP job. I had befriended Ronnie “Night Train” Lane, the PD at WRBQ-FM (New Country). He was among the PD’s to whom I had sent tapes. He was among the few that made time to meet me. He loved my desire and professionalism, so he helped me. While I was in his office, he made a call and left a message for Chris Turner, GM for WTMP. The next day, Mr. Turner called me and set up an interview. He hired me on the spot!

I did well at WTMP. I left due to an extremely bad personal situation. They were sorry to see me go. Chris Turner has since moved on to another job in Tampa. For a reference from WTMP, call Lawrence Hires, Lifestyle Entertainment Director, at 813-620-1300. I have met Larry Steele, the current PD, but I have never worked with him.

In early 1997, I was back at KXOK doing weekends on-air. I did well there too! I quickly became the “designated hitter” or "swing shift" man. I filled in for ALL of the full-timers. I did the smooth, sultry, baritone mellow moods shifts. I also did the hyper afternoons, as well as relaxed mid-days and overnights.

By early 1998, I left KXOK due to a scheduling conflict with my other job. Part-time announcing was not paying my bills. At the time, I hated to leave KXOK, but as fate had it, I left just in time to avoid the mass firings that were on the way, due to a format change and sale of the station. Whew! Close one! I feel proud to say that I have only been fired once in my life! For reference, call Steve Byes, Assistant Production Director, at Clearchannel, St. Louis at 314-692-5108. Mr. Byes worked with me at KXOK. You can also call Mike Love for a reference at (803) 776-1013. He is the PD at WWDM, Columbia, SC.

Let's go back in time here: It is interesting how I ended up in Gainesville, Florida. While I was in St. Louis, I had sent a tape to Don Cody, who at the time was the PD at WTMP, Tampa. By the time I moved to Tampa, Don had gone back to his original home, St. Louis. It is strange that I had never met Don, although we are both from St. Louis.

In 1996, while in Tampa, but before I got the job at WTMP, I heard about the inception of WTMG, Gainesville. Don Cody had moved to Gainesville to become PD at WTMG, formerly a satellite station known as WFEZ. I sent Don another tape, and this time we actually talked, but I ended up getting the job at WTMP instead.

Then, a few months later while I was actually doing an air shift at WTMP, Don called me and offered me job in Gainesville. I decided to stay at WTMP.

In June of 1997, I called Don asking for a job. I was working at KXOK, and I wanted a full-time gig. This time, Don had nothing open. But he went as far as requesting an aircheck and picture of me, and he said he wished he could use me now. He told me to keep in touch, so I did.

Finally, in June of 1998, I called Don again. He and I agreed on terms to have me work at Magic 101.3, WTMG (Urban), and WWLO(Talk), Gainesville, Florida. I worked on the air numerous times, acted as talent at remotes, and I was named "Promotions Director." Ironically, I became Promotions Director not by choice, although I have since excelled at it!

Don, liked my management history and personal management style. He wanted me to use my aggressiveness in new ways. I took the job because it was all Don had available, and I needed a full-time radio job to boost my career. I had never intended on getting into radio management. Wow! I have found that being a Promotions Director is challenging and has its rewards. I enjoy it immensely, but I REALLY love being on the air too.

Then .... Pamal Broadcasting/Sunshine Broadcasting came along and bought WTMG/WWLO on May 1st 2001. They had already purchased several more stations. Don Cody left the company to begin his own business. Don can be reached at cody7777@aol.com or at 352-332-0670.

Qquincy (two q's) was named PD of WTMG. Jay Anderson was named PD of WWLO, which changed it's call letters to WTMN, and it changed it's format it Sports. Bruce Cherry was hired as the OM of WTMG, WHHZ, WKZY, and WTMN. Bruce was also named the PD of WKZY (Soft AC) and WHHZ (a CHR which became Rock later).

I kept my duties at WTMG and WTMN, and I impressed Bruce so much that he named me "Promotions Director" (June 2001) for WKZY and WHHZ as well, which gave me four stations (CHR, AC, Urban, Sports, and later .... a Rock station). In addition to this, I continued to act as talent at remotes for WTMG and I did prize patrols for WTMG as well. I even filled in on the air once or twice for WTMG. AND!!! I also voice tracked overnights on WKZY for a couple of months, but we only had one studio, so I couldn't always get in -- juggling our schedules was tough. My final day at Sunshine/Pamal Broadcasting was on 06-24-2002. If you care to get references, call the two who have known me the longest there. The GM, Eric Jewell, and the current PD, Scotty Hines, will both speak highly of me.

You can email Eric Jewell at jewel4926@aol.com. or call 352-371-1980. Qquincy was the PD when I left. He is now at Moses Media at 352-378-9901 or quincymet@aol.com. Jay Anderson can be reached at jaynews@hotmail.com.

I have always, and still to want to be a rich and famous on-air personality and businessman. I work hard and I sacrifice. At one point, I asked for, and was granted a weekly on-air shift at WTMG. This caused me to work 7 days per week. After a few months, I asked to give up the shift, but I still did fill-in's. I did this to improve and to stay fresh, although was already very busy with promotions. I even dabbled a little in sales. I had a few clients. PR and skill. I put it to use.

This is my life – dedication and perseverance. I am ready to do almost anything and go almost anywhere to further my career. I am not afraid of hard work and new challenges. I think four years was enough in Gainesville radio, but I ended up spending ONE more year in Gainesville as "Marketing Director" for Moses Media Incorporated, a company owned by Don Cody, my buddy and mentor from WTMG.

I am on my way to the top, and although I loved it Gainesville, I had to move back home to St. Louis to spend time with family.

Now I work for Clearchannel at KMJM. I finally landed the part time on-air gig at KMJM after years of bugging Eric Mycheals and Chuck Atkins, PD and OM respectively. Eric moved to Norfolk, VA, but I hope to stay in St. Louis for as long as possible, but hey -- I wouldn't turn down a good offer! After all, I do want to be famous on a grand scale. After year's of sowing my seeds, I am still ready to pick up and move. I am mature enough to handle living alone. I am traveling Promotions Director/Air Talent/Club DJ by trade. This is what I do.

If you ever catch me on the air wherever, I hope you will enjoy my show. I work hard on being consistent and concise, but yet entertaining. I am a perfectionist, and I will stop at nothing to attain success. I also hope to do news and talk, in radio and TV. Eventually, somehow, throughout all of my travels, I WILL be a big market name in the media. I WILL also attain financial freedom. I'm working on it.

Click here to hear me “live” (when I am on the air) on WTMG.

Even if I don't exactly have the stuff you're looking for, I wish you luck in finding what you need. I will find what I need. I just have to be patient.

Thanks for taking the time to read my bio.
