In April 20th 1999, in Colorado two teenagers armed with an arsenal opened fire in their high School. This becomes known as the Columbine tragedy in which 14 Students and an adult were killed by the rage of a downfallen society.
I Never will Forget is a song written to the memory of the victims of Columbine High School. As this song was being composed and recorded many schools in the United States were facing violence, threats, and sometimes death. The urgency of this song become more apparent when Columbine went from a national tragedy to a popular copycat: children attempting to gain attention by dupplicating a famous desperate act. This song was written by parents, performed by children, and directed to all who never forgot what has and is happening in our schools. . Please Listen to I never will forget at the bottom of the page, reach out to our children and learn from yesterday.
I never will forget
I never will forget
What I heard that day
The way they all died,
What a price to pay
A careless act of war
on innocent lives
Caught in the rage
Of images and lies
When does one becomes so empty?
And their love has gone away...
We must reach out to our children
And learn from Yesterday
Should we bear the blame?
Is this our shame
Lifes that were lost
Through the blood and the pain
And though you're not here anymore
We all must go on
May we learn from the price you paid
And put an end to these wrongs
