Homeless
I saw a woman who seemed to have it all;
Business was good then, took a fall.
Lost her children, and husband too,
Now she is on the streets, and don’t know what to do.
And I have seen a man beaten down
As he slowly lifts himself back of the ground.
Reaching out he whispers; please!
Asking for some change, so he could eat.
This one goes out to the ones down the street,
Holding up their signs: “will work to eat.”
Isn’t it sad? How we turn, then drive away?
Knowing in our hearts, what Jesus would say.
For as much you done to the very least of these, You have done that to me. And for as much as you have not done unto these Then, oh my child, you haven’t done that to me.
When I have seen children begging for food,
Wearing torn-up jeans and holes in their shoes.
As I wiped a precious tear from their eyes
Already knew hope to them, has died.
Well the Sun is going down, it’s getting cold
Hard to stay warm for when they’re old
As they wonder where they will sleep tonightL
Hoping one day, it will be all right.

Prodigal
Another day is Gone
And now the night is here
All my hopes and dreams are gone
Where did they go? Or disappear
It Started out all right
Your nail scarred hands and mine
We walked together all the time
But look at me now, far behind
(Chorus)
Once again Lord, here I am
Lord I’m kneeling down in shame
I’m asking you, Lord, to forgive all my sins
Welcome me back, home again
What have I done and why?
Once again I’ve caused you to cry
Memories of the cross must fill your mind
Look at me now, far behind
You were standing with open arms
You have been waiting all my life
All I’ve done has been forgiven
And look at me now, Home again!
(Chorus)
Once again Lord, Here am I
Lord I’m kneeling down in praise
I’m thank you Lord, for forgiving me
And welcome me back, Home again.

Give it to him
Around your friends
Afraid to speak
What was your strength
Is now so weak
Striving for approval
That’s your goal
Which causes a battle
In your soul
(Chorus)
These are the feelings, He longs to soothe
Doubts in your mind, you’re so confused
Release it to the Lord, the hurt that’s within
You’re been carrying the weight, meant for him
Hiding it away deep inside
Wondering some times is it better to die
Things never go the way they should
Saying you’ll do better if you only could
Competition always goes too far
Faithful to leave an emotional scar
All your pain repressed in your heart
Let it go, before it tears you apart
You’ve been carrying the weight, meant for him.
