Shades is a group of friends who decided to join talents and play some original music. George Tyler, the genius behind Shades, took on his hand the task to lead the group, he invested in musical instruments, musicians and equipment to give form to his composed music. This talented musician plays the keyboards and the piano, producing the arrangements that make his songs so heartfelt. Tyler has the heart of a poet and the talent of a musician, he has been writing songs since an early age and had felt the need to find musicians with the same heart.
James Pickens was Tyler’s first contact. James’ talent is proved through the sound of his drums. James is the heartbeat of Shades and what keeps their music so meticulously played.
Tyler found many other artists who either played in and out, or did not share the commitment to go forward. However, during this time, a first song was recorded; the style was acoustic and contemporary, yet some improvement was needed.
Almost by accident and certainly with God’s providence, Tyler met Samuel Simoes. Sam is a student of Theology and since childhood a musician. He has developed his skills in Europe and besides being fluent in many languages he plays several instruments, choosing the bass guitar to be his contribution to Shades. Tyler and Sam work together to join the heart felt song to the mindset of musical theory.
Dan Clodfelter is Shades' Bloodline. This talented guitarist can bring any sound out of his Les Paul, or whatever guitar he chooses to play. Dan gives quality to the music of Shades, and his talent is an inspiration to every musician in the group.
Finally but not least, the voices, Jennifer Coleman, a shooting star whose voice can reach the inner emotion of Shades’ songs. Jeff Lane, the soft singer whose voice can be melodically heard in almost every song.
When Shades wrote "I never will forget," the need for new younger voices arose. We have found through Tyler Nathan Leonard who is a supperb singer with a talented voice. Along with Nathan, came his sister, Savanna Leonard who brought a bright new sound to shades with her crisp voice.
And as a special guest, we have little Sierra Tyler, who is a very promising young star with an impressive voice.
