If you are the victim of harassing, annoying or threatening phone calls, there are judicial remedies available to you.
The calls you are receiving can sometimes be traced to their origin. You can come by the Sheriff's Department anytime, 24 hours a day, and the on duty deputy can provide you with the necessary paperwork which will enable the telephone company to place a "trap" on your phone. You will be provided with explicit instructions on how to have the call(s) traced.
If you are homebound or some other circumstance prohibits you from coming to the Sheriff's Department, a Deputy Sheriff will gladly come to your residence and deliver the necessary paperwork to you. We prefer that the paperwork be picked up and completed at our office, but we realize this is not always possible. You do not have to subject yourself to the problems created by annoying phone calls. We will make every effort to assist you.
