The Magical World of ERIN!
Welcome to the
Magical World of ERIN!!
HELLO!
My name is Erin and you have officially entered my
website. BEWARE!! This is an Erin zone!! (scary thought isn't
it?!?!) Well, this is a website totally and entirely dedicated to me!
Ain't it great! :) Now, I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself.
If you don't want to hear it...TOUGH!! Get over it!!
ME!
I'm a 19 year old sophomore (almost junior hour wise) at Truman State
University in Kirksville, Missouri. It's a little hick town in the middle of nowhere, but we
have a Walmart Supercenter...what more could you ask for? I'm majoring in math and
minoring in music. I plan to get my masters in education and be a high school math
teacher someday. I love Jesus Christ. He is my
savior, and I'm not afraid of admiting it. My main goal is to try to live my life according to
God's will. It definitly doesn't always work, but He loves me just the same (isn't it cool how that works?!)
I'm loud and speak my mind. I'm most definitely not afraid of looking stupid
in front of people. (I do that 24:7.) Some would even say that I'm a little bit (or is that a lot, I always
forget) weird. I have fun in life, and I just love being me. Anyway, I love music (both listening
to and making it). In my spare time, (yeah right, like I ever have spare time) I like to hang
out with my friends (especially my super cool roomies), listen to the radio, or read.
HERE! to see a picture of
me!!!! I've typed up a resume on here for some odd reason so if you'd like to see it,
HERE!!
MUSIC!
Since I was ten years old, I've played the viola. If you don't know what that
is, you are most likely a musical moron, but I'll tell you anyways, because I'm nice...it looks
like a violin, but is a few inches bigger. It is played like a violin, but is a fifth lower than one.
Now you know. You are no longer a moron. Now, before I go on, I have to add that violas
are better than violins in ALL aspects!! Moving on...I've been to Music Contest every year of high school. My
freshman year, I was in a quartet (Jessica Cox-1st violin, Danielle Ellis-2nd violin, Erin Long-cello). Then, in my sophomore and junior years,
I took a solo and a string trio (Jessica Cox-1st violin, Danielle Ellis-2nd violin). Sadly enough, I've never gotten a I in any of my instrumental
small ensembles; I always got II ratings. This year, I took a string quartet (Jessica Cox-1st violin, Evie
McMullen-2nd violin, Dan Earnest-cello), viola duet (1st viola-Andy Ritsch), and a solo. And weirdly enough, I got I ratings on all of them. At State,
the quartet and my solo both got I ratings also. YAY!!! And my duet recieved a II.
I've always liked to sing, so I joined choir. Last year, I was in a girl's trio (1st soprano-me, 2nd soprano-Jessica Cox, alto-Pam Walters) that
got a I rating at district!! We had so much fun at State, even though we got a II. This year, the same trio went to State, but got jipped and got a III (loser judge).
I also took a solo to Districts and got a II rating.
I also have taught myself to play the piano, I'm not very good, but I don't care because I have fun. Oh yeah, I can't forget. I'm in an awesome
band called 3 Cheers 4 England.
http://www.bonch.org/3cheers4england/ to see our fun webpage. I'm in another band too with Jessica Cox called Ankor, but we
don't have a webpage. I also love to listen to the radio, and I do so very often. My favorite band is either R.E.M. or Stroke 9 (They sang the little
black backpack song. If you've even heard of them, I'm impressed.) I also am addicted to Blink 182, Lit, and Eminem.
QUOTES!
Ok, for some strange reason, I have become just a teeny, tad bit obsessive with quotes. But they're so inspirational, fun, and true.
I just love hearing what other people say about life. I can't get enough of them. I've got an entire book of them. I've tried to document all of my trillions
of quotes on the computer, but it's just too hard to keep up. If you'd like to share in my quote fun,
HERE! A little warning - this is under construction so access to most of my quote stuff
is limited. Sorry! Eventually, it'll be really cool. I promise!
FRIENDS!
Believe it or not, I have a lot of really close friends. My bestest buds are (in descending alphabetical order) Pam Walters, Sharon Crane, Jessica Cox, Brad
Cain, and Leah Babcock. To see lots of fun pictures of me and my fun friends, you need to
HERE! .
HERE! to see some fun links to stuff
I like and my friends' webpages.
Here's my est addition to my webpage!! Fun games!!! HERE! to play them!!!
Well, that's it for now. If, for any reason at all, you want to e-mail me, feel free. I don't mind. I like getting
e-mails. YAY!!! I'M NO LONGER RETARDED BECAUSE I GOT A GUESTBOOK!!! So, you can sign it too. Tell me what you
think. If you contact me...then you're really cool!!! If you want to e-mail me, click on the mailbox
