The Paddle Wheel Ramblers

The Paddle Wheel Ramblers perform daily on the Showboat Branson Belle, a Silver Dollar City attraction on Table Rock Lake, Branson, Missouri.

Band members are, from front to back, left to right: Jon Trimble, trumpet; Lee Smith, trombone; Robert Loffler, tuba and electric bass; Claude Coffman, woodwinds and vocals; Monte Yoho, drums; Randy Luna, Bandleader, Arranger, and keyboard.

Robert Loffler: Tuba and Electric Bass

Robert graduated from the Crane School of Music, New York, with a Bachelor of Music degree, and from Truman State, Missouri, with a Master of Arts degree. He has been employed as a musician by the Silver Dollar City Corporation since 1981.

Robert is also currently the instructor of tuba at Southwest Missouri State University (since 1988); the principal tubist for the Springfield Symphony (since 1997); and an active freelance musician. He was named Specialty Instrumentalist of the year 2000 by Branson’s All American Entertainment Awards.

Monte Yoho: Drums

Monte grew up in Florida where he began playing drums in 1965 at the age of 13. He began his professional music career in the 1970's as one of the origianl members of The Outlaws band. While with the Outlaws he recorded six albums on the Artista label, and toured internationally with groups including The Doobie Brothers, The Allman Brothers, and The Grateful Dead. He has also performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Prior to performing with the Paddle Wheel Ramblers on the Showboat Branson Belle, Monte performed as a drummer for, and recorded several albums with, Cedric Benoit and the Cajun Connection.
