After many years as a professional dog groomer I decided the perfect

dog for me was a Ridgeback.  My first Ridgebacks, Ch Brondiki's Br-r-ronz

Outlaw-Ed, CD was purchased in 1986  and Ch Brondiki's Jack T'Ripper

was purchased in 1988 and are the foundation that DHorobi is built on. 

Not only did Tripper and Brassy both finish their AKC Championships but

each earned their AKC Companion Dog Title and in a brief career as a

Special Tripper earned a Group Placement in Columbia, Missouri. 

 

 

A small kennel I believe in quality rather than quantity and strive to

breed true to the Rhodesian Ridgeback standard.  All dogs are home raised

under foot.  My goal is to breed dogs that not only excel in appearance

but also excel in performance events.  Carefull evaluation of a potential

sire and dam including all necessary health checks is performed before

a mating is undertaken.  All adoptive families are required to spay and

neuter their pets.

 

 

I am a member in good standing of the Heart of America Kennel Club and

Great Kansas City Dog Training Club. Currently I am in charge of Training Classes

for both Greater Kansas City Dog Club and Heart of America KC.  I have held

numerous positions as officer, trophy chair, advertising chair and chief ring

steward among others.  Recently I was honored to be asked to judge Afghan

Hound Sweeps at a local show.

 

 

With over 30 years as a Professional dog groomer and in the sport of

dogs I am still convinced that Rhodesian Ridgebacks are the breed for

me!
