"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." I John 5:14-15

Do you have a "TEN MOST WANTED" list?

As I looked through some of my Dad's books not too long ago, in one of the Bible commentaries I found a sheet of paper that said, "Ten Most Wanted" list. We are familiar with the FBI's most wanted list and I immediately thought of it. We often hear of the capture of men and women on the list because of the united efforts of concerned citizens and law agencies. I pondered for a moment on Dad's "Most Wanted" list, and then realized these were men that I had heard my Dad had prayed for by name. Some of them were saved under his ministry and are active with their families even today. This evidence of my Dad's faithful praying, a reminder two years after his death, generated in me a new desire to be more fervent in praying. I asked God to give me a renewed fervor for praying for names of unreached children and their families. If we, as God's people, hope to see a significant difference in children's lives, it will be because we spend more time on our knees, or our faces before God.

If each of us has our own "Ten Most Wanted" list of unreached children in our own neighborhoods, our own counties, we can trust God to multiply our efforts to bring boys and girls to Him. By asking a friend and some of your family to pray with you, more homes and neighborhoods can be encircled in prayer. Prayer partners play a crucial role. I want to ask you to deeply consider the urgent need for intercession. Of course, the challenge to pray can be just a one-time effort, or an occasional effort, or a simple going-through-the-motions. But, it can also be a deeply heartfelt exercise to change eternity for so many children. We CAN be the voice to those who have yet to see the LIFE that only Jesus can bring.

The FBI often states that they persist until they get each person listed on their "Ten Most Wanted" list and have except in three or four cases. And, then they add new ones to the list. Our "Most Wanted" prayer list should never be without names! It is God who will pull down the strongholds of Satan. We know we are in a war, a war where Satan is fighting to get our children while they are still young so he can stop future generations from knowing God. He does not want our children to have a Godly foundation. The mightiest weapon we have is neither money-nor workers. IT IS FERVENT, FAITHFUL PRAYING. When we pray, the Lord will call forth workers and provide the means to accomplish His will.

We know from reading God's Word that children are "Most Wanted" by our Saviour. If we desire to be a mighty prayer warrior for this present young generation, we must have a passion to pray unceasingly for a "Most Wanted" list of names, of lost boys and girls. If we don't know names, we can bring children in specific areas boldly to the throne of grace. Our Heavenly Father knows each one. God's people encircling their neighborhoods, counties, and yes, will you encircle our twelve counties in prayer?

As we share praise and prayer requests with you, please continually ask God to call forth more workers. God is working in our South Central District, as each month we hear of more children being reach for Him. As we ended l999 and are now into the year 2000, we praise God for 53 who have been saved in our CEF ministries with over 225 attending clubs. Over 150 lessons have been sent out in our Good News Mailbox Club ministry. We praise God for Sunday school teachers, Children's church workers, and for CEF Good News Club and Monthly Party Club teachers who present the gospel.

Thank you for your prayers for this ministry. Like many others with computers, there's much to be learned. Please pray that I can learn needed skills that can be used in this ministry. We praise God for supplying our needs. We are having workshops in April in 4 counties presenting ideas for counseling children, Easter ideas, and we'll make some visual aids. We would love to hear from you. Note some new phone numbers on the letterhead and my personal e-mail address is bvancef@angelfire.com. What a joy to be in God's family with you and we thank God for you.

Serving and praying with you,
