Voice On The Touch Tone Phone

                        Heard your voice again today, 

                         Brought a smile to my face. 

                             With your laughter 

                              I was embraced. 

                            Left the room floating 

                            on an invisible cloud. 

                           I was shining so brightly, 

                           I nearly blinded myself. 

                            Parents looked at me 

                               with confusion, 

                          Thinking I've been sitting 

                              outside too long. 

                            For they could not see 

                          The overflowing happiness 

                                 inside me. 

                        Oh, how I wanted to shout out, 

                            To yell to all outside, 

                             about the true love 

                                I have found. 

                                  And oh, 

                            How I wanted to give 

                             every in-depth detail 

                                 about you, 

                              about your voice, 

                                 your eyes, 

                                 your laugh, 

                                 everything. 

                          I raised my voice in thanks 

                          To the One who sent you 

                                   to me. 

                            Oh my beautiful Lord, 

                       How could I have ever deserved 

                             such a precious gift?
