MVPs

ROUND ONE was known as the Chalmers Award; ROUND TWO was the first attempt at a league award and ran from 1922 to 1929; ROUND THREE is the current version of the award and ran from 1931

Chalmers Award, 1911 to 1914 Originally issued to the best players in each league. The award was presented by the Chalmers Automotive Company, which was based in Detroit, Michigan. No player, however, could win the award more than once, which seemed to defeat the purpose, and the award was disbanded after the 1914 season.
