-[2001.11.25]-
So Christmas shopping season has begun. This is one of
the most terrible times for Americans. The U.S. credit
debt is up to 1/2 Trillion dollars. Please be careful
guys. Tomorrow might be the day that you die. What
will all of your wealth do for you then. Focus on God.
Luke 12:34 "For where your treasure
is, there your heart will be also." Think
about what is important to you and make sure that your
priorities are in order. Focus on our Lord... That is all
that will ever matter. Think about it. What is
important to you?

Kenny's funeral was today. Not much else happened.
God has his hand on our family though. I KNOW that!

-[2001.11.23]-
Please keep my entire family in your prayers right now.
There is so much going on that it isn't funny. Even in my
own household. Please pray that everybody will regain
their health and also that those that were close to Kenny find
closure in he fact that even thought he isn't with us, he is
with a being FAR greater and more powerful that we are and that
everything will be ok. Tomorrow is the funeral and a big
day for many so keep us all in your houghts.

-[2001.11.21]-
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving day... actually, if you look
at the time, today is Thanksgiving day but shhhhh....
Man! So much has happened to me this year to be thankful
for... I am most definetly thankful for everything
that I own, knowing that there are those in countries, cities,
and even her in my own back yard that have so little and even
nothing sometimes. I am even more thankful for the friends
that I have who are ALWAYS there for me whenever I need
them. I know that I would not be where I am right now at
all if it wasn't for the people that hold me up when my legs
give way. For that I am forever in debt to you. And
for the one thing that I am the very most thankful for is the
very one that gave his life for me so that I would not have
to. JESUS CHRIST is who I am most thankful for. He
has put his hand on me the majority of my life and I know that
He has a purpose for me and my life. One that I hope I
can't praise His in everyday that I have left. Thanks be
the to One that gave everything up so that I could have it all!

Kenny pasted away last night at around 7:30. We all
know that he is in a better place now. God speed, we all

I have not had the chance to post for a few days. A lot
has happened in the last 48 hrs. Its about 6:00 pm right
now, around yesterday at 12 noon or so, we got a msg on the
answering machine that told us that my uncle was given only 48
hrs to live. My mom and I rushed up to St. Louis to be
with our family. There really wasn't anyplace for us to
sleep, so most of us went down to our cars and slept in the
garage. My uncle progressively gets worse and worse and
has come to the point that he cannot be helped at all.
They have signed a DNR order and various other forms that say
they won't increase anything else so that he will be able to die
peacefully. It has been a very exhausting couple of
days. I really ask that you keep my family and I in your
prayers please. My mom has taken all of this really hard
as well as a lot of the rest of us but my mom and I had to come
home early because of some of the stuff going on. PLEASE pray
for us. God bless you all!

Marc hit on a very touchy subject tonight that he was upset
about and I realized that I am really more agitated by it that I
thought that I was. There are Christians out there and
then there are 'Christians' out there. Ones that will flip
you off wearing a Jesus shirt or a WWJD bracelet on. And
then we get people that are so turned off of Christianity
because of what they see of us. Granted we all screw up
but there is a difference between then ones that try and the
ones that wear the name as a show to get attention. God
doesn't go for pew warmers; you're either in it or you're
not.
It boggles my mind how somebody can honestly flip you off
while plainly wearing Christian apparel! WHY?! Man
alive! Of all things to do to be rebellious, why in the
world that. It makes me so incredibly sad to know that
there are people with their priorities that screwed up.
God bless their souls for He is the only one that is able and
strong enough to save them from their destination. God
bless us all!!!

-[2001.11.16]- //morning//
I got home to late to write last night. I went to the
play again and then I went out with a bunch of people.
Good times you guys. I went to an art show yesterday
during last block. SMS was putting it on. There are
some pretty talented students there. A few of them
exhibits made me think of the same things that the Mary Ellen
Mark show did. We here in America are so sheltered.
I have not really figured out if that is a good or bad thing
yet. I do know that there are a lot of things out there
that are horrible and that are very messed up. It makes me
really sad to think about. It still confuses me
though. Why can't it be stopped? There are some very
depressing things out there. I guess for right now all I
can do is pray about it. I'm out!

I went and watched "Kiss Me Kate" at Kickapoo this
evening. Very VERY good! I enjoy musicals and fine
arts so much... people can really express themselves in
them. It gives them a chance to escape reality for a
little while and be something that they aren't. There are
so many times that I search for that. I so need a break
from it all!
-adam, disciple of Christ

-[2001.11.14]-
Not really a good day. I am not really sure why but it
just wasn't. I was really depressed. I know this
though, if I would not have had Jesus today, I know that it
would have been much worse. I hope tomorrow is better!
Somebody asked me today about Jesus. It made me happy
but then they said that they wanted to stop talking about it
because they were going to get upset about it. That made
me sad but I think that a door was just opened so I'm going to
try to walk through it. I hope that God wants me
too. Keep me in your thoughts.

In all that has been important to man, friends have been one
of the most essential for survival and happiness. From the
poorest to the richest, lamest to the coolest, and most ungodly
to our Lord Jesus Christ himself, friends have been something so
close to the heart that the loss of one almost always brings us
to the feeble state of depression and tears. In John
11:35, the shortest verse in the bible, it tells of Jesus
weeping after the loss of one of his best friends. Take
your friends to heart. Don't say anything to them that you
would regret for they might not be there the next day.
Cherish them and their lives.

Today was a pretty good day. I got some work done on a
picture that I am drawing for my AP Art class. I have
needed to do that. My concentration is reflections.
Not only reflections of physical objects but reflections of
self. This will give me a chance to really and truly look
deep inside of myself and let people know what is important to
me. This will take a lot of thought so maybe I should get
to it and do something about that. Have a good one!

We went over to Tony's last night and had an awesome devo.
I really enjoyed it. Tony told the story of a woman that
had saved her child from a burning building when it was just a
little baby. In doing that though she burnt and mangled
her hands and arms. As the girl got older, she was
embarrassed of the scars on her mothers arms. She did not
realize the story behind the scars. She would make her mother
put on long white gloves whenever they went out in public
because her arms were so embarrassing. One day when she
had gotten a little older, she asked her mom about her arms and
she told her daughter that she had gotten them saving her from a
fire when she was just a little girl. After she was told
that she told her mother how incredibly sorry she was and that
she never wanted her mother to cover her arms again because they
were the most beautiful arms she had ever seen. You guys,
realize that when are you embarrassed to wear a shirt to school
that say "Christian" or whatever on it, that Christ
allowed his flesh to be tore from his bones for you. It's
just something to think about.

-[2001.11.11]- //morning//
Hey, I missed last night, I was a little preoccupied. I
apologize for that. Today during the lesson at church,
Marc reminded me of a question that was asked us a few weeks ago
by Tony. 'How has God changed our lives in the past couple
of weeks?' That really wasn't a hard question for me to
answer because 2 and a half weeks ago i went to a Mary Ellen
Mark exhibit. For those you of you that do not know who
she is, she is a would famous photographer that has been in
magazines from Time to Life. She used to photograph famous
people but then decided to begin photographing who she called,
the "Unfamous People." I went in the gallery
with one attitude and conception of life and came out totally
slapped in the face from the images that were so real, they made
my life seem fake. We as a church sit and talk about the
things that we don't agree with in our worship and make a huge
deal out of it as if it is salvational and the only thing that
is important, when the entire point of Christianity is spreading
the word of God our Savior! I saw, in their eyes,
the souls of heroin addicts getting the latest fix and 7-10 year
old children from big cities playing with real machines guns
pretending to be gangsters because that is all that they
know. If anything, I have realized and God has shown me
the BIG picture and told me that my attitude is wrong! Now
all I have to do is figure out what I can do about it here.

So far today it has been pretty good. It still isn't that
late in the day but I thought I would add something to here for
a little while. We didn't have school today. I was
going to head down to OC to visit with Derek and all of them
down there, but since we hit Bambi in our car a week ago, we
have to get it fixed before I can head down there. I can't
wait to go there; the atmosphere is going to be sooo
great. I hope it is the way that I hope it is. I
won't know until I get there and start living with
everybody. I hope God is more present at that school than
He is at mine. I need a boost now and then and I don't get
much of a boost at school. It's hard sometimes but I do my
best. I must be leaving now.

-[2001.11.8]-
It makes me so incredibly sad to know what people are
doing. I sat in class today and listened to a guy announce
where a party was going to be tonight. Pretty stupid
because you know everybody is going to get drunk and then DRIVE
themselves home. I'm going to be out tonight too and I
don't want to be driving with some junior who has downed a fifth
of vodka. It makes me sad to see people who in order to
have a good time HAVE to go out to a party and get wasted.
I don't know what they see in it to tell you the truth. I
can honestly say that I have never once had any desire at all to
smoke or drink anything at all. I really don't think i
would get anything out of it other than running around being
stupid. But once again that is my opinion.

-[Introduction]-
This is my first entry into
Christian Diaries. I just want to ask that God blesses
this and he gives me the words and attitude to say what should
be said in order to lift others up and challenge them to live in
the world and not of the world. I hope that all of you
enjoy what I have to say about the world we live in today.
Please realize that it is still just an opinion but if you have
a different one, I would LOVE to hear it. Please email me
your thoughts and if you have a question or something that you
would like me to answer or something, feel more than welcome to
ask it to me and I will try my best to give you my opinion on it
as best I can. Everybody have a wonderful day and God
bless us all!
