The HBWL has revamped its format for the upcoming 2001 season. The league now has six teams of two players and will play a fifteen game season with each team playing every other team three times. The top four teams in the regular season will advance to the playoffs. The first round will be the four seed vs. the one seed and the two seed vs. the three seed. The winners will play each other in a three game series with the champion receiving the HBWL Wiffle Cup. The six teams are as follows: Tad Wasowicz/Aaron Hugenberg--The Mathletes; Michael Shults/Jordan O'Donnell--The Shoe; Ryan White/Jonathan Humphreys--The Unknown; Erik Ingebretsen/Eli Collins--Team Bush; Patrick Lee/Carl Ziegler--The Sousacide; Kyle Pickett/Caleb Johnston--David and Goliath.
