May 4, 2003 DAILY VICTORY The well-known hymn sung by many during this season tells the faithful to come to Bethlehem, joyful and triumphant. These two attitudes are best displayed throughout our lives. In doing so, we will be walking, talking, expressing the awesome victory which our Lord and Savior has given to everyone of us. When we realize that we have this joy and triumph in us through him who dwells in us, and yield to him our lives will be revolutionized. “He that believeth on me believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that sees me sees him who sent me. I am come a light to the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believeth not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. (John 12.44-47). When we realize the magnitude of his love and grace we are bound to rejoice in the victory he has in store for us everyday. Even in trials, temptations and adversities he works out his master plan for the good outcome he has always intended. (Rom. 8.28-30). Because he has wanted the very best for his children from the very beginning. His love is so tremendous that nothing shall ever separate of from his great love. (Rom.8.35-39). We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord. Along with the disciples he urges us to follow him, to not be discouraged and to be full of joy because of him. (John 16.24). We receive those things we ask in his name, so we can rejoice and be full of joy. The problems of this world are temporary. But be of good cheer, because he has already won the ultimate victory. (John 16.33). He lives in us to give us strength everyday. He has given to us his Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of power and of a sound mind. (II. Tim. 1.7). His Spirit in the inner man strengthens us. (Eph.3.16). The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us (Rom. 8.11). The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are now the children of God Almighty. (Rom.8.16). The Spirit himself intercedes on our behalf, for we usually don’t intellectually know what to ask or how to phrase our requests. But the Holy Spirit personally makes those requests. (Rom.8.26). That is why Zech.12.10 makes mention of the Spirit of grace and supplications. We live and walk in the Spirit. (Gal. 5.25). Glory, honor, power unto him who gives us victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise his name always. You are invited to attend our church services at a location near you. Please check this website for time and locations most convenient to you. ”The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Neh.8.10). The joy and victory of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours always. AMEN!
