Jane Hamilton (1748-90); Robert Culbertson m. 1778 Anne Duncan (1755-1827). George McIlvaine (1742-1807) was lieutenant of a company of foot, Lancaster Associators. He was born and died in Lancaster County, Pa. Also No. 70173. Robert Culbertson (1755-1801) served as captain of the 5th battalion of Associators under Col. John Armstrong; Lieut. Col., 1st battalion under Col. James Dunlap and wagonmaster, 1780, in the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania militia. He was born in Cumberland County; died in Franklin County, Pa. Also No. 154410.

Daughter of Crawford Early Smith and Virginia Penn, his wife. Granddaughter of George Penn and Sarah Bella Chambers, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Benjamin Chambers and Sarah Lawson, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of James Chambers and Catharine Hamilton, his wife. James Chambers, (1744-1805), commanded a company at the siege of Boston and with him were his brothers William and Benjamin. He was at Long Island, was wounded at Brandywine and in the battles of Monmouth and Stony Point. He rose to the rank of Colonel and was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati. He was born and died in Rockhill, Bucks Co., Pa.

Daniel Soule, (1757-1840), enlisted 1775 under Capt. Churchill; served 1776 under Capt. Jesse Harlow and 1780 under Capt. Jesse Sturtevant. He applied for a pension 1832 and it was allowed for eighteen months' actual service as private, Mass. line. He was born and died in Plympton, Mass.

Michael Spangler (1758-1842) served as private in the 2nd company, 3rd battalion, York County militia. He was born and died in York County. Matthias Schmeisser (1744-1829) served as private 1779, in Capt. Emanuel Harman's company, York County, militia. He was born and died in York County. Elias Eyster (1734-1833) served as private in the 2nd battallion, 5th company, York County troops. Christian Eyster (1710-92) served as private in the 5th company, York County troops, under Capt. Emanuel Harman. He was born in Wurtenburg; died in Eysterville, York County. Valentine Emig (1748-1833) was a private in Capt. Reinhart Boot's company, York County, Pa. He was born in Germany; died in York County. Peter Mohr (1740-97) was a private in Capt. Jacob Arment's company, 7th battalion, York County troops. He was born in Pennsylvania; died in York County.
