Benoni Platt, (1718-95), served in the New York militia. He was born in New Haven, Conn.; died in Bedford, N. Y. Jonathan Platt, (1740-95), was a member of the Provisional Congress, 1776, and of the Committee of Safety. He was born in Bedford, N. Y.; died in Nichols. James Brooks, (1729-1812), served as a private in the New Jersey Continental Line until the surrender at Yorktown. He died in Tioga Centre, N. Y. Also Nos. 3908, 8588, 12444, 17054, 19418, 21203, 22919. Miles Forman, (1762-1839), enlisted at seventeen in a company of Levies and acted as guide to the army in Westchester county. Nehemiah Porter (1720-1820) served as chaplain in the Army at Bennington, Fort Stanwix, and Saratoga when General Burgoyne surrendered. He was born in Wenham; died in Ashfield, Mass. Also No. 71039. John Porter (1754-1838) served several enlistments, 1775-77, under different commands, Massachusetts troops. His widow applied for a pension in 1827.
