Other Info: Also named some places on the desert set: Sebulba's cafe, Watto's junk shop, Slave quarters, and Naboo Space craft. The casting director, Robin Gurland, has been working for two and half years already! Here's the transcript of the press conference given on July 25 by George Lucas and Rick McCallum in the Palace Chapel of the Caserta Royal Palace in Italy, where they were filming scenes for Episode I. Here's an update from the set of Episode I taken from the official SW Site. Another Star Wars Prequels Site posted this saying that is was official: When Lucasfilm was asked about Boba Fett's role in the Prequels they stated: "BOBA FETT IS ONLY ONE OUT OF SEVERAL HUNDRED CREATURES AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE. HIS 'COSTUME' IS IN THE PREQUELS. BOBA FETT WAS ALIVE AND WELL DURING THE PREQUELS TIME FRAME, BUT WHETHER THE ACTIVITIES HE WAS ENGAGED IN DURING THAT TIME FRAME ARE WORTHY OF INCLUSION IN THE PREQUELS OR SOME OTHER FORMAT IS PURE SPECULATION, AT ITS WORSE. MR. LUCAS WAS KIND ENOUGH TO INSERT BOBA FETT IN THE SPECIAL EDITION OF STAR WARS AND GRANTED PERMISSION FOR DARK HORSE COMICS TO ALLOW BOBA FETT TO ESCAPE THE SARLACC PIT. YOU ARE GREATLY OVERESTIMATING BOBA FETT'S SIGNIFICANCE IN THE PREQUELS."
Coruscant The following is a summary from The Star Wars Insider #34: Coruscant, probably the main place in the new Prequels is a bright massive city ten times as big as New York. Coruscant was first seen in the Return of the Jedi during the celebration of the destruction of the empire. During the original Trilogy, Coruscant was home to Emperor Palpatine but before the empire moved in, Coruscant beloged to the Rupublic. The SW Insider stated that the "teaser" of Coruscant at the end of the SW Trilogy Special Edition was actually there for reason which won't be unveiled until 1999. If you've ever played TIE-Fighter then you've probably seen the Emperor in his Imperial palace on Coruscant. Many of the buildings are mile to two-mile high skyscrapers. It took a crew 2 and half months to finish the buildings for the Special Edition Coruscant scene. They'll have their hands full for the Prequels!
