Troop 403 salutes it's new Scoutmaster, Jeremy Medley. Along with it's new troop committee chairman Dennis White. The Unit Commissioner is Steve Roberts. The troop would also like to recognize it's committe members- Martha Roberts, Desiree and Jimmy Crocker, Greg Milan, and Gail White. Troop 403 is having it's 85 anniversary this year. 1925-2010. It's the oldest troop website in the Ozark Trailblazer's district and one of the oldest in the Greater St. Louis Area Council.

Check out the two different knots pages! Learn those knots that are required to move up in rank. Feel free to save the pics or copy them to learn the knots or use to teach other scouts at a meeting. This is a great tool to use at meetings or for your own enjoyment.

Troop 403 is in Ironton, Missouri and is part of the Ozark Trailblazers District and under the Greater St. Louis Area Council. Troop 403 is also the oldest troop in the district. The Shawnee Lodge #51 is in St. Louis and the largest lodge in the United States, which troop 403 is a part of. The Shawnee Lodge also having it's 79 anniversary and the Greater St. Louis Area coucil is 93 years old. As a footnote, Troop 403 only has had one Vigil Honor recipient in it's long history (Jeremy Medley in 2001). Check out the history page for the Ozark Trailblazers. Here is the newest addition to my patch and neckerchief collection. A 50th anniversary of Troop 403 neckerchief that was made in 1975. I have only ever seen 4 of these since I started collecting patches and I have 2 of them. If you have one please let me know! I've been told only 25 of them exist. Also if you have any Ironton community strips that were worn where the council patches are worn today are, please let me know.

If you have any information on Camp Irondale let me know. It was the main summer camp for St. Louis Area Council from 1920-1964. Shawnee lodge which has known as Osage in the begining before changing it's name after finding out that an Osage lodge already existed, held many activities there such as a National Conference in 1938 and many fall reunions. Irondale is a little know camp to many new members of scouting and I want to make sure it's not forgotten. If you have any pictures, patches, papers, or anything with the IR logo on it , I will be glad to buy them from you or we can trade! Check out the Irondale page at the bottom to learn more about the camp. A picture of the patch can be seen along with photos and information.
