The Atkins Family
My ATKINS Family starts with Seth ATKINS. I don't have a date of birth on Seth. I do know that Seth emigrated from England about 1751. Seth came to the U.S. with two brothers. They settled in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. "Whaling" was their occupation. It was reported that Seth's two brothers were lost at sea while Whaling.

In 1790 a son was born to Seth and (Unknown), They named their son Seth. This Seth was born in Middletown, CT. He died in 1858 in Lewis County, NY.  He married Eunice B. ? about 1814 in Middletown, CT.
Seth and Eunice' children were John ATKINS 1816-1895, Seth ATKINS 1819-1888, and Harriett ATKINS 1829-?.

John ATKINS married Amanda HALL (1818-1891). John and Amanda's children were George Franklin (1840-1899), Cecelia Marion (1843-1917),
William Henry (1854-1914), and Martha Cornelia (1838-1905).

Seth ATKINS married Jane PALMER (1820-1857). Seth and Jane had a son Palmer (1842-1920). After Jane died in 1857, Seth married Mary WICKHAM (1838-1906). Children of Seth and Mary were Chester (1859-?), Wyman (1866-?), Irene (1868-?), Jennie (?-?).

Harriett ATKINS married Nathaniel KNOX (1825-?). Children of Harriett and Nathaniel were Harriett A. (1849-?), and Seth (1851-?).

George Franklin ATKINS married Lydia Gehala LANGWORTHY (1841-1882). children of George and Lydia were Charles Franklin (1862-?), John (1863-?), Irving Jackson (I.J.) (1868-1928), and Nettie (1872-?). After Lydia died in 1882 George married Julia (pary) Parcinda RUBART (1839-1945). George and Julia had no children together.

Cecelia Marion married George BARNUM (1838-1901). They had a daughter Nina M. (1871-1883).

William Henry married Mary Eleanor CROW (1853-1922). William and Mary's children were Gladys Armenia (?-?), Oren Lester (1886-1922),
George Edgar (1873-1891), Charles Henry (1878-1930), Clyde (1883-1883), Ina Maude (1884-1970), and Iva Jane (1890-1955).

Martha Corniela married Abram VOSBERG (1826-1916). Martha and Abram's children were Francis A. (1855-?), Ida Meretta (1857-?), Cariett Amanda (1859-?), Phobe Myrtella (?-?), Ceceila Grace (?-?), and Frank Adelbert (1855-1923).

Palmer ATKINS married Cynthia TILLMAN (1843-1893). Palmer and Cynthia's children were Louis B. (1867-1950), and Charles (?-?).
The marriages of Chester,Wyman, Irene and Jennie are unknown.

Charles Franklin ATKINS married Harriett Elizabeth (Betty) MCGHEE (1869-?). George and Betty's children were Walter Albert 1894-1964), and Raymond (1896-1981).

John ATKINS marriage unknown

Irving Jackson ATKINS married Lila Leola MOORELAND (1889-1968). Irving and Lila's children were Theodore Ernest (1907-1967), Marvin Thomas (1909-1988), Owen Burrell (1911-1960), Grace May (1913-1935), Mabel Sadie Marie (1916-1975). Annie Arlene (1919-1939), William Jackson (1921-1964), and Morgan Vance (1926-).

Nettie ATKINS marriage unknown.
