You guys may be asking "What the fuck is this?!" Who wants to hear someone blab on about politics?!

Well, the Presidential election is coming up soon and some of us who are of voting age will have to be making that decision between Lying Stooge #1 and Lying Stooge #2.

You may think, "What does this have to do with me?". Everything. Don't be some sheep just not caring. It's that type of apathy that bands like Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine fight against. Stand up. Do something.

Tell people about Ralph Nader. Ask your parents about him and tell them what you think. It's a given that Ralph won't win, but that's not the point.

Buy voting for Mr Nader, you can send a message to the 50 year old corporate raiders driving the Lexus SUV next to you at the stop light. You can say "NO. I won't stand for it anymore..."

Your vote for Mr Nader pushes his issues on the other candidates.

They won't listen unless you make them listen...As for the people who can't vote, you can still make a difference. Go to the site above and volunteer. Go to the mall and pass out leaflets. Talk to people about Mr Nader. The more who KNOW about him, the more they'll think...

Our country has far more problems than it deserves and far more solutions than it applies. The reason: excessive concentration of power and wealth in a few hands. Instead of government of, by, and for the people, we have a government of the Exxons, by the General Motors, the AOL-Time Warners, and for the DuPonts. Such concentration serves the interests of the few over the many. History has taught us the perils of this degree of concentrated power and wealth. This concentrated power in the service of greed, together with short-term thinking, prevents our country from foreseeing and forestalling looming problems on the horizon. Among these problems:

Environmental degradation, from global warming to land erosion

Widely reported corporate crime, fraud, and abuse Runaway harmful technologies

Urban poverty, redlining, and the decline of the family farm economy

Relentless commercialization of every nook and cranny of our society and culture

Ralph Nader is America's leading consumer advocate. A lawyer, prolific writer, and lecturer, Nader has organized students into teams that the press back in 1968 nicknamed "Nader's Raiders". Over the past thirty years, Nader's Raiders have challenged misused corporate and lobbyist power, and prodded government agencies to work in the public interest. Ralph Nader became nationally prominent in the mid-1960's, after the publication of his book, Unsafe at Any Speed: The Designed-In Dangers of the American Automobile. In the spring of 1966, Congress held hearings to investigate the auto industry. Ralph Nader, who was the key witness, sharply articulated the need for a strong law enforcement agency to govern the auto industry and the safety of our vehicles. The hearing led to the passage of the federal motor vehicle and highway safety laws. In turn, what was the auto industries reaction? They had Nader followed by a detective. They tried to find any dirt they could about this trouble-maker. They tried to blackmail him. What did they find? Nothing. The Nader 2000 campaign will take on the ballot-shielded two-party duopoly of Tweedledum and Tweedledee and give voice not only to regular voters, but to the half of all eligible voters who do not vote because they do not believe their vote means anything.
